    Oh yeah for sure they do, they'd be the only ones I trust with it. I just can't do it, I don't love my truck that much to drop twice it's worth into a trans, if be better off spending that on an 8spd truck.

    That was straight from the owner who has done a couple NAG1 swap. That's to get installed and working flawlessly like it came from the factory like that, no codes and the electric gear select still works.

    I heard it helps to put an additional coat of clear on the lights to keep the stock clearcoat from putting and peeling. This two part spray clear works pretty good, at least better than typical spray clear. Spray Max 2k

    I can't speak for the 727 being a direct fit exactly, but I know it uses the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the modern Hemi. I wouldnt recommend the 727 for a street truck unless you can deal with only having 3 gears (high revs without the overdrive gear). I do know that the 518 is a...

    I'm doing a 518 which is a just 727 with an overdrive. It can be built to 700whp pretty inexpensively($2000-3000). Rebuilds if done yourself, can be done for about $200. For a little more money($5000), you can do a 4l80e with a standalone controller that will hold 1000whp.

    If you are indeed doing 6k at 50mph, then by my math you have 3.92s. 4.56s will definitely make your truck more, feel lighter off the line, and improve overall driviability with the 6spd trans. The shorter gears will even reduce strain on the trans. The only negative would be a slight 1-2mpg...

    With a 180° t-stat, my truck runs 179-183° normally depending on ambient temp. So I set it at 189 low speed and 194 high speed. Just a FYI, 2013s and newer run 185 no matter the t-stat according to a well known tuner.

    Most think it has to do with the torque converter. I don't think it has to do with tire size because '09 and very early '10 R/Ts came with the sport 20s.
