    I rewired the pump, hooked the power up to the alternator, and grounded it on the chassis. It works now. After considering your comment, I'm going to bypass the electric pump and just run the mechanical. No sense in having both, and I want to cut back on having parts that could fail. Thanks...

    Newbie oil change question.

    I'm in a 1985 w150 with the 318. I bought it after it had some work done on it, and I can't find the engine oil filler cap. Is it the cap on the passenger side valve cover? Will I be pouring oil directly into the valve cover? Sorry for the dumb question but l want to make sure I do this right.
