I bought the truck used and don't think it was ever rust proofed. I knew when I bought it that the corners where bubbling. It looked ok until last week when a flake of paint fell off. I touched it and a huge chuck fell off.
I didn't rust proof it because I was going to touch up the rust in the...
You would have to go with a different tire size. Sports tires don't typically come in 305/45-22.
I ran eagle f1s from a Vette but they where 335/25-20

Well, leaving work and noticed a terrible screeching sound coming from the front end like metal on metal. Luckily I was close to a dealer.
Now I normally try to avoid the dealer and price out parts but I needed my truck for work the next day. Anyway to make a story short.
With both front wheel...
My ticks just slightly during cold start up (below freezing) as soon as it warms up it stops.
If the ticking gets louder or continues it could be a sign of a head gasket or manifold gasket leak from my experience.

I agree. The Kia Soul is a great choice. Kia has the same motor as Hyundai.
Kia is partially owned by Hyundai.
I own a 2009 Tucson 2.0 and a 2016 Tucson 1.6 turbo and 2009 Accent with 1.6.
Never had any issues. Regular maintenance only.

Good point. Maybe I'll try just cleaning the back bumper. I live in a rural area with dirt roads and the back of the truck is always dirty.

I have a 2009 Ram 1500 4x4 SLT CC.
I am getting an intermittent error message that says service backup system. Not sure if this is a common problem, I couldn't find an existing thread discussing it.
Is there a way to disengage the system until I get it fixed so I don't have to listen to...

You'll be able to puff black smoke soon enough ;)

Why do they even put carpet in trucks. Never understood it. Its a pain in the butt to clean.
Wish they offered the carpet delete on upper models too.

Try Bondic it actually works really well. Its not a glue but similar to filling cracks in your teeth at the dentist with UV light.

I also had a big drop when the colder temps rolled in. Also with a change of tires.
I went from 13.1 L/100kms to 18.5 L/100kms avg.

An accident that would throw a 100lb sand bag into the air would not be stopped by a cargo net. At least not one of those thin rope ones.
Ratchet straps would be better.
Saw a guy use an old water bed mattress half filled with water.

I use 40lb bags of water softer salt. I have to buy the stuff anyway so I leave extra in the truck ( 5-6 bags ) having a drop in liner it is hard to keep it in one spot. Was using a cargo bar but it didn't work too well either.
A buddy uses a rubber grip mat then puts the bags on top of that...
