    JBA longtubes with Y installed

Just sounded like an exhaust leak at the collector. To me it sounded like it was on the passenger side. I checked and checked and checked, there was no leak.

    2014 clutch fan delete

Looking at the fan from the front of the truck it needs to be turned clockwise. You can do it.

    2014 clutch fan delete

The fan threads on the pulley are reverse thread. It shouldn't be hard to remove at all. I just left the belt on and put a wrench in the big nut. Whacked it once with a heavy hammer and it came right off.

Unbelievable Beastmode - Don't yell at me

There's a dude at the track, maybe a semi-professional photographer, who takes pics of ever car as they leave and then he posts them on his screens there at the track and sells the pics. The pic I posted is one of his "sample" pics that you can get for free, hence the little circle thing smack...

Unbelievable Beastmode - Don't yell at me

So I know this isn't a Ram, buy y'all seem to like drag racing about as much as I do, so we can all appreciate a sweet run. This is my friends mustang. 2001, bone stock 4.6 SOHC long block with 150k miles on it, long tube headers, carbbed, and a very well setup suspension. He clicked off a 1.37...

Engine flush or short interval oil change

Another good thing to do is throw a can of Marvel Mystery Oil in there with the cheap oil. Run that for about 500 miles and then change it. MMO is awesome shit!

    headers install

This is a no-brainer, must do. It will save you a lot of busted hands and time. It takes 5 minutes to do, do it. On my LS powered truck everything was easy enough to access from the top. On the Hemithe best advice I ever got was to remove the plastic wheel wells.

    Ok, I'll give you that.

    Dipstick tube bolt size

It would be very difficult, but not impossible, because of the tight spot. First I'd try getting a small punch and knocking it on the side to see if you could get it to turn 90 degrees, then pull it out with some needle nose. If that doesn't work, fill it with grease to catch the shavings and...

    Dipstick tube bolt size

Jeez! What kind of **** stick would do that. So how are you supposed to check your oil? Did you buy it from a stealership?

What is your mod list? Were you spraying it?

    Dipstick tube bolt size

What side is your dipstick on? Mine was on the driver side, and I found no need to bend my dipstick to reinstall it after installation of the JBA headers. Yes, it takes some wiggling and patients, but it goes back in just fine with no interference if you just take your time. IIRC the bolt was a...

12.80 1/4 mile street tire run

That's a real impressive pass on street tires. What tire are you running?

    headers install

No. The Y just fits like shit. It was a 6 speed Y on a 6 speed truck.
  20. nickpohlaandp

    headers install

Headers fit fine, JBA's Y-pipe fits like shit. I wouldn't waste your money on shorties. Spend it elsewhere or get long tubes.

    Vararam install question

Negatory. When you pulled the hard plastic tube out, where that tube hooked up on the driver side rear of the engine was a rubber 45 degree thing. That's what the filter goes into, and it should have a little hose clamp to hold it on there and prevent it from falling off.

    Vararam install question

I don't have a direct picture of it, but here's kindof an idea of where the little filter should go (arrow pointing)

    Vararam install question

Did you buy that from me? It's a little chrome filter that looks like one you would push in an old Chevy 350 valve cover instead of a PCV valve. It mounts on the rear of the intake manifold, driver side, to where that long tube used to be connected to.
