A couple weeks back I was getting a P0300 code random misfire and thought it might have been a senor so started by changing out the TPS. Unbelievable...
Mate that muffler shop sux, let me know where it is so I never go there. I worked as exhaust fitter for 18yrs and would have checked all items were there for new fitment before even starting the job. Advise on replacing lower control arm busheses
I did an oil change/service on my 2007 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 237 500 miles the other day and noticed that the passenger lower control arm bushes are shot. Has any here replaced them without a fully setup workshop and if so can you give me some pointers? I've been a mechanic in Australia before... -

I have a 2007 1500 4X4 running 4.7 Magnum Flex Fuel engine. It has 230 000 miles on it and I believe it still has to original transmission in place. If you see no sign of the transmission being removed (bell housing bolts with signs of being removed ect) I see no reason why it would not be the...- Dmuldrock

Overdrive jumps in and out on freeway

Overdrive jumps in and out on freeway
K Had some time today so changed out my TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor) and what a difference!!! Truck doesn't jump in and out of overdrive anymore, has a smoother idle and seems to be better on gas (only done about 75 mile so little early to tell but will keep an eye on it). First thing I did was check the fluids, levels are good and there is no burnt smell so I assume the box is still good as everything else works fine with smooth gear changes. What did you do to your Gen3 today?
Did my first oil change and changed the output speed sensor. Dumped in Mobil 1 synthetic and a long millage filter. Only had the truck for about 2 weeks and after crawling around under it am very happy, it's very clean with very few weeps anywhere.- Dmuldrock

Mileage on your 3rd Gen.?
229000 miles on my 07 1500 Quad 4X4 with flex fuel. I believe I'm the third owner. It's done mostly highway miles. Unsure if it's had engine or trans change but engine sounds sweet with no oil usage. Still drives nice.- Dmuldrock
