Help identifying carb part
I am trying to figure out what this canister part is that comes in contact with the throttle linkage. what is it called and what does it do. I turned it all the way clockwise on my truck and it raised the throttle a bit. Is this bad. i was trying to turn the carb a bit for our cold weather...- ianmattdodge

Taking off cat, other benefits?
I have a 1985 d100 pickup with a 318. It gets horrible gas milage but runs amazing. I believe the original catalytic converter is bad and sucking my gas miliage away.
