I replaced everything in the trans, fired it up and drove. Everything was beautiful, EXCEPT no TCC lockup. I took it to a specialist in the area to confirm my suspicion. Just bought a 98 1500 4x4
I'm still waiting for my parts from Oregon Performance Transmission, but I got the confirmation today. The truck began starting in second gear every time on my way home from work. I left an hour later to get gas for the mower, and the CEL came on. Pulled codes - P1757 (Governor Pressure Low)...- DRTDEVL

In a bit of a pickle
With enough time and money, anything can be fixed... but you have to ask yourself "how much is it worth to throw this money away?" If it were an heirloom, I'd be looking at the option of getting a cheap, high-mileage, clapped-out truck from the southwest shipped in and swap everything to that... -

Just bought a 98 1500 4x4
UPDATE: I cleaned all the fuses and relays, as most were showing sign of corrosion, and I put dielectric grease on the contacts. I also replaced the battery terminals, put a 4 ga battery to body ground wire in (the stock one looked pretty pathetic... 14 ga?), and found out the other fuse...- DRTDEVL

Where does the forward O2 wiring come out of the harness?
Never mind. I found a video, the plug is on the DRIVER's side of the transmission, the cable drapes over to the passenger side where the sensor is.- DRTDEVL

Where does the forward O2 wiring come out of the harness?
Bought truck, CEL on. Code for O2 sensor voltage high. Live stream shows a steady 1v from O2 sensor. Go under truck, find no O2 sensor present, just some fittings to what looks like some sort of quick-disconnect. No exhaust leak... but no forward O2 senor or wiring to be found. Just bought a 98 1500 4x4
As it turns out, there are corroded fuse contacts. Jiggling the main 40a battery part fuse fixed most of the problems... then the turn signals went out. Tapping the interior fuse box brought them back to life. Is amazing how much better things run when they have the proper power supplied...- DRTDEVL

Just bought a 98 1500 4x4
Club cab, short bed, 5.2 (IIRC, could have been 5.8 but I was in a rush to beat everyone to it), automatic, 220,000 miles. CA truck in the midwest rust belt, never seen snow or winter driving. The guy never engaged 4WD, and is unsure when it was last used. The truck sat for the past 8 months...- DRTDEVL

16" coined dually wheels?
I have an RV with 16.5" "Coined" dually wheels. Is it true that the 1981-1993 2wd Ram 350s have 16" coined wheels? If so, that would make life a whole lot easier to get modern tires on the old RV... -

Looking at transmission options behind 360
I have a 1980 Sportsman van chassis (1981 completion) Winnebago "Minnie Winnie" 20RG RV. It has a 360 and a 727 driving it, but it gets HORRIBLE mileage. As title says, new here, but I have had various Rams over the years. I'll be asking unconventional questions, though, as my current "Ram" is not a Ram at all, rather a Dodge Sportsman chassis RV (D350, IIRC).- DRTDEVL
