Rzrman is right.Before switching to HIDs try the Sylvania ZXE bulbs. I drive 1000 miles a week, and wanted to see the shoulder better to avoid deer but after switching bulbs to the ZXEs the light output is night and day. Just my .02

I just tinted and color matched my tails. I went just a bit lighter in the center of the tail and the light output is near identical to OEM. I'm done going too dark and getting hassled on my weekly commute.
