2020 ram 2500 toms sensors
ordered a set of wheels and tires for my 20 , i need to get a set of sensors for the new wheels but want to use one that the truck will pick up without having to go get them activated , what should i be looking for 433mhz? do they have to be factory mopar sensors or will aftermarkets in the...- tnt2671

just installed mine today and this thing is amazing! totally changes the truck. the biggest thing i'm noticing is the truck now downshifts like it should instead of the lugging issues i have had since day one, can't say enough on how pleased i am with this thing. i don't know how they feel...- tnt2671

6.4 owners....
my 16 5.7 does it to , it's just the way the 66rfe trans is and it sucks went to several service managers who have gone to bat direct to corporate with no luck. i had a manual reset done at the dealership and didn't help at all. the factories are so concerned with mileage they made the truck...- tnt2671

Oil viscosity
in my 5.7 both 5/20 and 5/30 pennzoil platinum , but making the switch over to redline 5w30 next oil change. from my experience my 5.7 likes 5w30 and the redline has high moly content another thing modern hemi valve trains like.- tnt2671

Which WIX XP is correct?
there will absolutely no difference going either way so choose which one is available or what ever one your comfortable with if your using a quality oil and a quality filter every 5k the filter capacity between these 2 is irrelevant in a well taken care of engine. i wouldn't over think it- tnt2671

i did a bola xr1 oval and left the factory resonator on all welded in stainless and it sounds great for anybody looking for a nice deep tone without drone again i left the ugly resonator on but i'm actually glad i did because the sound is exactly what i wanted defiantly not obnoxious but nice...- tnt2671

hmm that is a good question , would the adaptive system just work against this and try to maintain factory pressures? would it start throwing error codes due to pressures being out of factory operating range? i have a feeling it would not hold gears longer though more than likely just firm up...- tnt2671

congrats on the new truck the with the cargo load your talking about your truck won't even know it's there , most of the gear talk going on in this thread has to do with compensating for the crappy shift points in the 66 transmissions.- tnt2671

anybody on this and any other ram forum who owns a 4th gen 2500/3500 , 5.7/6.4 hd truck with a 66rfe that is still under warranty and is NOT happy with the crappy shift points that ram has given us and would like the problem addressed should call and open a claim with ram to get this issue...- tnt2671

man i drove a buddies new tundra today and the shift points are exactly what my dodge's should be , i didnt care for the rest of the truck but shifting is spot on , holds a gear , no gear hunting , keeps the rpm range were it should be independent of speed your going it shifts like a truck should.- tnt2671

i'm glad to hear that your giving me some hope!!! already did the relearn and i have just been locking out gears around town or driving in tow/haul so i guess i'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that it does improve, it's winter in ma. now so i'm going to at least give it until early...- tnt2671

It really came down to price I bought my truck off the lot for well under 30k we ran locators to find same truck with 410's but nothing was available that was in range. The difference between 10"s and 73's is honestly not that great as I've had both ratios previously in other vehicles but you...- tnt2671
