I've been using the ESR to shut off MDS for the last year. My truck is a 14 Hemi with 6sp. I have not noticed a increase or decrease with my mpg. I bought a truck not a prius. With the carven it sounds like shit when MDS activates anyways.
Welp got new pan bolted up, filled it back up. Went out for a quick drive. Shifted smoother for sure. Temps didnt go over 110* but its only 37* out. Ill monitor and post updated info once it warms up outside.
Big thanks to R.L.K. for the turotial. saved me a ton of $$ doing this myself
welp **** me. got old one out finally, but trying to get the new one in I bent it and now need another. Can anyone let me know what the part number is? Im trying to google it now.
guys any tips on getting the sump filter seal out?
I'm just breaking the rubber up and cant get the thing out. I'm using a scribe, dont want to use to much force and score surface
Just picked it up from dealership. 14 1500 Hemi with 51K developed Hemi tick. Brand new pass side manifold and bolts and its back to normal. Had it back within 24 hrs. Pretty impressed.
Nice man. My fav roadtrip was when me and my wife drove from Maryland to Iowa for a wedding. Nothing but wide open country most of the way. Cranked the music, windows down and prob smoked 10 cigars along the way.
No pics but I moved all the shit from my town house to my new single family this past few days. Took several trips and towed a 6x12 trailer from uhaul with ease. Without my Ram it would have been a nightmare. New place has a lift in the garage so will be sweet place to do maintenance and mods.
After having it for almost 2 years I wish my 14 6sp had 4.10 rather than the 3.55 it has now. Think it would really wake it up. Not that it was even an option with the 6 speed trans iirc.
With all the rebates and cash back it makes lot more sense to buy new. I got a good deal on my 14 when i bought it 2 years ago but if I could do it again I would have saved up a lil longer and bought new.
But the prices on used 10 year old trucks around me is crazy, can't believe that someone...
I second this. Catch can and a PC. It's amazing the amount of shit the catch can will collect and the PC really helps throttle response. Will be money well spent.
For sure work slow, if you drop a bit of plastic into the blower motor its gonna rattle around. My advice would be to heat a exacto knife up pretty good before you start cutting. Made it alot easier.
Open your driver door and look on the door jam for a sticker. Sticker should have bunch of info about weight limits, as well as place and date of build.
Yep. Save the receipts. I did my rear, center and front diff few months ago. The rear was for sure a lot darker than the center and front diffs. Probably could have waited on those but it doesn't hurt anything. I did them all at 35K.
