Like said above. It's a closed system. There is not a compressor. Air is stored and sent to the air bags when needed and when not sent back to the system for reuse later. If you were able to find a way to tap into the air supply you get one blow of the horn then back to the dealer to have it...
Love the Long Horn trim so much I have owned two. The Western Brown one was my 2014 2500 Megacab and I traded that in for the 2016 3500 dually CC longbed. Personally don't see a need for many mods. I have added a 91 gallon RDS auxiliary fuel tank tool box combo to my 3500 and a fold up ladder to...
One of these days soon I am going to remove a ladder thing I have installed on my tailgate. I have five or so screws holding the thing on. If I remember right it will be between 3/8 and 3/16" holes. When I remove it what are your sugestions to seal up the holes? Main concern is keeping water...
Thanks Kingsize. That's the sort of advice I was looking for. It is 4x4
I did the google search for pictures. I like a more personal touch that forum photos offer
I have had two differnt trucks that used DEF, in both I have used at least three different brands of DEF when using it from a jug. I have filled up at several gas stations and truck stops and had no clue what "brand" I was pumping into my tank. So far knock on wood not a single problem with...
I know it's not what you want to hear at this point but maybe it's time to pay the $99. That or throw in the towel all together and go to plan B.
Or Plan C. All you really want to know is if it's working? Can you call LoJack and can they not run a test on it just like if you reported it stolen...
Yes, depending on the shop tools you have. I'm picturing my shop and I'd have to say it would be too heavy to load it all but most don't have a 1940's era Cressent 24 inch joiner that weighs 2,500 pounds or all the other over sized "industrial" strength wood working tools.
That said you have...
Just doing some searching for a possible addition to the truck and I found a set mud flaps I like and it comes in two sizes for a dually. 21x24 and also 19x24. I haven't taken a tape measure to my back tires yet to see what it would cover. Got any thoughts on the two sizes? Truck is a 2016 3500...
I wasn't even interested until this was brought up... count me in! Already dropped my drawers. Ok truth is I never had them on. Someone pass me the leather conditioner.
If your thinking of getting a fith wheel why not concider going up to a 3500 SRW or a DRW. Odds are good the fiver could put you at or past the ratings of the 2500 and a 3500 SRW cost is not much more in price for a lot more payload.
Just throwing that out there.
Assuming you are asking about the auto level air suspension like I have on my 3500. With out a heavy load in the bed it changes nothing. They don't do anything or add or take away from the ride. With a heavy load (such as the pin weight from a fiver) it changes everything. (For the better)...
I'll say the opposite. 18's. Less money for the wheels and rubber to wrap them in. Plus I don't like the look of a big wheel. Maybe I'm too old school cause I love the look of a 15" rim with a giant tire on it.
It's all good if you happen to have access to an intrinsically safe vacuum. (Which I actually do...). But still good advise. Not many would have one of these super expensive vacuums.
I got time before my tank arrives. And it might be months before I get the time to install it. Worse case if...
I was wanting the Swing Case as well until I realized it would block the 5th wheel 7pin plug. Then on the passenger side I already have a step mounted to the tailgate and would be in the way of the Swing Case with the tailgate closed. Guess I'm not getting a wheel well box after all.
Took a look under there and the fill tube runs mostly horizontal for a decent stretch and I think I can use my multi tool to cut out the needed section and reach in to clean/brush out maybe even vacuum anything that remains in the tube with out worrying about anything falling further down the...
I agree with you on the buckles on the seat backs. When I first saw them it made me think of a woman's purse. The good news is their only visible from the back and I don't have to look at them all the time, and when I do I guess I have just gotten used to them. They no longer bother me...
Congrats and enjoy!
Don't have and pointers for you. My truck mod days are over. Don't do anything but accessories these days. Spent my time with my lifted and modified '01 and had a blast repairing things that broke. But these days a factory warranty that lets me tow the RV and get the kids to...
