This is almost too embarassing to post
I pulled #8 again and it looked clean, but gassy. Had a hunch about the wires.
Pulled the summit racing ones from my 454 motorhome and started with the #8 wire.
Runs flawlessly.
Drove it 250+ miles this weekend, I'm suspecting the front driver wheel...
I have considered getting the 8mm taylor cables, I want to look at the plug #8 again and see if its oiled up again. Didnt get a chance to tonight. I have also routed my existing wires per the TSB as well and just common sense keeping them apart from eachother.
We stuck an inspection camera down...
Plugs champion rc12yc
Fuel pressure was more like 39-45 vibrating between those 2 points consistantly during idle and rev
Od off seems to run way better but is also running above 2000 rpm.
Im going to pull it back in tonight and check out plug 8.
What should the fuel pressure be? I read...
Ive been at this darn ram trying to get it to run right almost a year now.
I have a great idle and great acceleration. I however have a miss from 1300-1800 rpm.
Short history, father in law said it was running bad, did tune up (cap rotor plugs coil wires) and did not help. We tossed some...
To wrap this up....
My shaft showed up yesterday from rock auto... 2 day shipping and 5% code was $72. (around town it is $140)
The only difference I can spot is the dorman unit is thinner at the couplings, but adds a rag joint on the steering wheel side.
To remove mine was a 13mm bolt...
I went ahead and ordered it from rock auto, well see how it compares.
Dorman replied
"The 425-264 is only for 4wd vehicles. We currently do not make a shaft for the 2wd models. Thank you for your inquiry.

Is there a difference between a 2wd and 4wd steering shaft?
(the answer, still not sure- but I installed dorman 425-264 on a 2wd truck with standard suspension with no issues)
The only replacement I can find is a dorman that specifically says 4wd only with a few 3500 rwd exceptions.

To anyone following, the egr tube nut in the intake manifold is a 7/8" size.
$20 at menards bought an sae crowfoot set, crescent brand.... used a small 2 inch extension and a ratcher and broke it loose no problem.
Just removing the egr pipe to access crank sensor bolts. I dont have any ball end allen sockets so that may be a direction to go.
I have 3/8 drive sockets with 1/4 allen and no amount of swivels will clear the egr pipe. If i knew the size of the nut i would buy the wrench for it but a whole...
I had a leak under the cab and many other questionable lines. I took the easy way out and went pre bent from sstubes. $200 did the whole truck, but they break it up into 3 or 4 sections depending on what you want to work on.
Edit, didnt see second page you got er done. Lol
Ive been trying to replace my crank sensor for almost a week now. Im at wits end. My arms arent thin enough to reach through the following
Wheelwell above frame
Between frame and trans
Between firewall and head
The only place I can actually touch the sensor is while laying on top of the motor...
