    Installing OEM backup cam

Well I figured out the problem with the grid lines. It's very technical, but in order for them to work properly you must go into the settings menu and turn them. Haha, I feel kinda dumb! Face to Palm! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Installing OEM backup cam

I had everything factory except the radio harness I got from mpgrimm. So I'm not sure what I need to do and where to go. I have a 2500 with the ip/body connector or something like that. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Installing OEM backup cam

Yep, but without the body harness it probably cheaper and easier to just get the whole kit ($250 on eBay). Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Installing OEM backup cam

Yeah, I bought my truck out of Nebraska, but they brought it to Jamestown, ND for me. I dealt with the dealership in Sidney to add the camera but they weren't much help. Post when you check the jumper in the back by the spare and get a pic inside the tailgate. Then I can give you part numbers...

    Installing OEM backup cam

This looks good! Did you check the harness at the bumper by the spare? Like mpgrimm said, there is a short jump on some 2500s. Make sure it's 8 wires at both ends. Then take the inside cover off the tailgate and take a picture. To me it looks like you need about $130 in parts and a Flash from...

    Installing OEM backup cam

I got the harness, but haven't attempted installing yet. Was in Billings for a state bowling tournament this weekend and loaded a train at work today for 13 hours. May try tomorrow night. Any extra info would be great! Thanks. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

If you don't have these three wires then you need the radio harness. Ohm the 3 corresponding pins in the other half of the connector to the tail gate to verify the rest of the wiring is complete. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Installing OEM backup cam

Check the post about the IP body connector by the brake pedal. Pins 17 18 &19. Of they ohm to the tailgate harness you won't need the whole kit. That's how my 2500 PW was. You will only need the tail gate parts, y harness, and radio harness from mpgrimm. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Yes we did. Just waiting on the harness from M2Mods and I'll be up and running. Fingers crossed. Both of you were very helpful. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Installing OEM backup cam

I ohm'd the pins that match the empty slots 17-18-19. The run all the way to the tailgate. So it does look like the radio harness is all I need! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

If it helps, it is a 2017 power wagon. I will check and take pictures of connections tomorrow. It's still a little chilly outside here in MT.[emoji6] Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Installing OEM backup cam

Yeah, asked them for a print off of the relevant wiring and they said it would take too much paper.[emoji35] There is a reason I told them to stop and took my truck home. They went at the problem the way I would have, not the way they should have with all their resources. I like the dealer they...

    Installing OEM backup cam

I sent him a PM. I do have the 8 wires going to the front from the back. I have also checked the fuse. It also runs the park sense I think and that works fine. I'm really hoping it is just that radio harness and MP can help. I think it's one of the parts you can't buy separate. Sent from my...
