How do I get rid of the annoying exhaust drone with new Magnaflow??

The statement about placing the 1/4 wave tube after the muffler makes sense. I believe I was thinking along those same lines when I placed mine. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

How do I get rid of the annoying exhaust drone with new Magnaflow??

It is welded. A hole is cut in the exhaust pipe the same diameter of the 1/4 wave tube. It is then just branched off it, like a T-joint. The 1/4 wave tube is capped off, I don't think I mentioned that. It will not affect exhaust flow. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

Lowered 3rd Gen Pics - Show Em Off!

What did you do to get another 2" out of the rear? I have a flip and notch with stock shackles in mine and I would like a bit more out of it. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

How do I get rid of the annoying exhaust drone with new Magnaflow??

I have a spintech on my truck and it drones. The Magnaflow I had prior to it was even worse. These are both oval style mufflers. No round race types. I made a 1/4 wave or j-pipe for it. It has helped but I need to tune the length to try to eliminate the drone where it bothers me the most...

    Front End Geometry

I am in the same boat right now and trying to figure out how to address all these same issues. I aligned it the other day and have run out of adjustment, and it's not quite in spec yet, according to factory specs. Though much better than before. I had over 2 degrees of camber at the LF wheel...

Interesting question/dilemma for my slammed brethren.

I've been wanting another inch or two out of the rear of my truck for a while and have been debating blocks or taking a leaf out of the pack. I was hauling about 450lbs of steel a while ago and it rode so much nicer with that weight back there. Makes me lean towards removing a leaf but I can't...

Notched and Dropped more this weekend

Thank you guys. And even though I said I'd like another inch or so out of it, the more I look at it the more I think you guys are right and I will leave it alone. It is sitting just right.

Notched and Dropped more this weekend

Hey guys. Been wanting to notch my truck and drop it down a little more for a long time and finally got the chance to this past weekend. What I already had done: -McGaughys front spindles -McGaughys flip kit -Belltech Nitro drop 2s in the rear -half coil trimmed off stock front springs...

Hood Scoop - Anyone know about it?

FWIW I own a Rumble Bee and the scoop is riveted on. My bad, you are correct about the Daytona hoods. I will edit my post as to not cause confusion.

Hood Scoop - Anyone know about it?

They came factory on Rumble Bees. I don't think they were a factory option on other trucks but I imagine you could buy it through Mopar. I have seen it on quite a few trucks that aren't Rumble Bees. There was also a package available on quad cabs called the Hemi Sport that used the same scoop...

    Mysterious Freon Leak

+1. Dye, recharge, and a thorough visual inspection should have been the first thing they did. Sometimes around a leak you will see oily/dirty residue built up. But sometimes they're quite a PITA to find. Sounds like parts are just getting thrown at it though.

    Latest rust restoration/prevention techniques

In my opinion the only way to deal with anything heavier than surface rust, which can be easily cleaned off, is media blasting followed by epoxy primer. If the metal has been damaged by the rust; pits, bubbles, flakes, etc., to where it is no longer smooth when bare it needs to be cut out and...

Engine in pieces. What not to use brake clean on?!

You mean it is down to a short block? I personally would avoid soaking any gaskets that aren't metal, which is the majority of them. A quick shot would probably be fine since it dries so fast, after all there are rubber seals in brake assemblies, but prolonged exposure can do damage to some...

    What's the Next Step

It's not just swapping one 2.5" pipe for another. It's swapping 2 pipes smashed halfway to fit into another pipe for 2 pipes properly merged into one that is much less restrictive. If making more power is what you want, it needs to go at some point. Like I said though, if headers are in the plan...

    What's the Next Step

If you're going to keep the stock exhaust manifolds I would suggest replacing the restrictive factory y-pipe. If you're planning on replacing the stock manifolds with headers then I would wait to address the y-pipe. Aside from that you could do an air intake, tuner, electric fan, gears...

What's wrong with the door on the truck? Get hit? Also what year trucks are you looking for? Just 03-05 or 06-08 too?

4/6 drop and Shocks on their way!

Looks really cool. I dig the blue. I agree on the taller tires though, but doesn't look bad. Are you going to paint the whole truck flat black?

    Switch gauge color or not

Yeah the glare and harshness of the light got old for me and it didn't quite look factory to me. The light wasn't even and consistent as the factory lights. Here's an article I found on blue leds in a quick search. I have read similar things before about blue lights and our eyes...

    Switch gauge color or not

I changed my gauges and HVAC out for the blue leds and switched in a radio with blue lights to match and I honestly got tired of it and switched back to stock. The blue light was a bit harsh to me, though it looked cool. In your case I'd probably just stay stock.
