Who's got a V6 Ram 1500 5th Gen
The HEMI in my 2010 Ram Laramie 5.7 died just over 2 weeks ago. No way I was rebuilding anything on a valvetrain with 165,000 miles on it. I have had my 2020 Big Horn Built to Serve V6 for a little over a week now, and here are my thoughts comparing them: -there is a HUGE difference in power...- Icejob8

Front Suspension Parts
I can’t help you with the parts but I do have a brand new set of Bilsteins I could sell you. They came with my lift kit but I didn’t use them as I stayed with my Ranchos -

Have you ever experienced the rear window/brake light leak?
Mine never leaked, then wham! Under seat storage bin was half full of water. Honestly I would buy the weather stripping and replace it even if yours is not leaking. It's an $8 fix and 10 minutes of your time. Really no reason not to do it -

Nerf Steps that attach to frame
I weigh roughly 215, have a few buddies in the 250ish range. The steps may be rated for that, but what's to say the panels are and heaven forbid 2 big guys stepped at the same time=trouble. -

I would like a set of nerf Steps similar to the nfab Steps with the drop hoops. I looked at them, Westin RDX, Rough Country and EBay Specials. They all attach to the rocker panel/body metal. Granted I am not a huge guy, have some heavier friends. Either way, attaching a step to a rocker panel... -
lifting question
I ran Rancho QuickLift Struts on my 2010 for 60K miles and had absolutely no issues at all. Simple to install as well -
Where have you installed switches???
I want to use the rectangular switches, so they won't fit right there but I was also thinking about 4" closer to steering column. My concern there is a lack of space behind the panel, don't know bc I haven't checked. Any idea of space available??? -

I don't know if this helps, but I anticipate 3 switches but there could also be more. I like the rocker switches with led light on them...think they are about 1.75" deep plus a little more room for wire terminations. I think a great idea would be on the roof console to the rear of sunroof and... -

I am going to install an LED light bar in the front, "rock" lights underneath and reverse lights. I am going to wire the rock lights to come on with dome lights, reverse on when in reverse, BUT I want to be able to manually turn them on. So, where have you guys been installing your switches... -
Lock box under drivers seat?
You can also buy a lock box with the cable that you wrap around seat mounts. I use one, it's not the most secure thing in the world but it's inexpensive and easy to use. For me it makes sense bc I don't leave my gun in the car very often, in expensive, can move from car to car to hotel room etc... -
Leveling my 1500 4x4
I'm kinda confused, it's easy to do, I thought a leveling kit only applied to the front---to level the front to the rear??? I leveled my truck with Rancho QuickLift Struts and couldn't be happier -

Need some advice on lifting
Leveling with Rancho QuickLift Struts is pretty darn easy and in my opinion provide an excellent ride. A guy at work just did a 3" body lift and he said install was awful. From a distance it looks like, once you get close you see some gaps, bottom ofvrame rails etc. Me personally I would save up... -
Are airbags needed to tow with 6" lift???
I think I am gonna give the 1000's a try. I don't tow often, boat isn't very heavy. The YouTube video seems to say it works...worse case scenario it doesn't help and I am out $80. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- Icejob8

Which package is a good platform to build on
Mine is a '10, and while I don't off-road a lot, my bumpers look great. Granted the extent of my off-roading is limited to hunting spots, back woods campsites etc. It just seems like so many guys buy trucks with chrome grills and almost immediately paint them, dip them or flat out replace them. -

I am very partial to the Sport. Color matched bumpers, door handles, and mirrors is a huge plus for me. -
