Ok guys does anyone know the correct part number for the cops on the 16 tooth tone wheel 4.7 the only one I can find anywhere is for the 32 tooth tone wheel. I would think that they're different and could be causing my p1391 if I'm using the wrong one
Do you know if the crankshaft sensor is different from jtec to ngc because the stealership only shows one sensor and it covers 02-13 rams with 4.7 i would think the jtec would require a different sensor
check mopar part number on factorychyslerparts.com they show you fitment by year model it says this sensor will go from 02-13. Anybody have the part number for the 16 tooth tone wheel ckps
I wonder if my replacement crank sensor was for the wrong tone wheel, the original was bent 90* where the connector is the new one is straight. Is there a way to tell by oem part number which is which
Changing the coolant temperature sensor did help some I got a decent idle for about 20 seconds, now I think my new crank sensor is bad so gonna change it again
Ok replaced the coolant temperature sensor and it idle for about 20 seconds then died so now I'm gonna replace crank sensor again just to rule it out since I am still getting the p1391
Weather was finally nice yesterday but now im having to wait for unemploymemt to kick in, dont you love how a company doesnt have to give you any notice but when you file for unemploymemt they get 3 weeks to reply to the claim. They let me go they should have to jave everything ready within 48...
Yea, AutoZone and Amazon, I try to only buy ones with good reviews but you know shoot and miss. I am fairly certain that they are ok the iac and map I got are Mopar. I have had to replace the tps already. If I don't get results from changing the coolant temperature sensor then I will try new...
If it was fine before they touched it throw a fit until they fix it, biggest problem with dealers is they think they can **** your shit up and blame it on you and force you to pay for it. When they say they can't pay for it tell them you want the corporate hotline, sometimes that alone is enough...
Look at my no start thread, it could be a bad coolant temperature sensor, when bad it tells the pcm that temperature is 40 below and floods the shit out of the engine to warm up faster.
Look at my threads I'm having the exact same issue finally starting to make head way with it, looks like a bad coolant temperature sensor will flood the shit out of it. When bad it tells the pcm that temperature is 40 below
The part the plastic intake bolts through is called the plenum sometimes lower intake and dodge is calling the firewall where the strap goes the plenum also it was a little confusing at first. Mainly because the fsm gives a pic of the strap on the heads backed away so you can see its position...
Where did you get your sensor apperently cheaper sensors are hit and miss for mopar dont know why just see everybody saying they are crap and wont read correctly. And the coolant temp sensor on this generatio when bad tells the pcm that coolant is 40 below and it dumps tons of fuel to warm up...
If your still struggling it may not be pcm, check all your grounds, there is one that goes head to head to firewall that falls but is the main engine to body ground. Also check colloant temp sensor, apparently when they start dying they tell the pcm your 40 below coolant temp and dump fuel to...
I know it sounds wierd but check your coolant temp sensor also, the damn thing apperently tells the pcm that your engine is 40 below when it dies and so the pcm will flood it with gas trying to warm it up faster, also check you head to head to firewall ground strap
Holy crap reading on the ground straps in the fsm (thanks for that,) the damn strap on the 02 goes from both heads to the plenum so I'm betting none of the the sensors in the plenum are reading right gonna add another ground beside throttle body to firewall and see what we get

I swapped every fuse out even though they weren't out they were all at least a little burnt, it is running slightly better, I also but in a ground from motor to cab since the ground strap is on the control arm bolt and a b to get off and move I figured another...
