    Love this 1500

    I really really love my truck -- a 2017 Rebel Black Edition. It hauls everything I need, and goes everywhere I want. The size is just right, not too big yet not too small. The 5.7L HEMI sounds great (it has a Mopar Cat-back exhaust,) and the air-suspension rides like a sedan.

    Impressed with how good 4th gen trucks still look

    I've had my 2017 RAM (Classic) Rebel Black Edition for over five years, and I couldn't say enough how much I love this truck. The 4th Generation RAM has the classic semi-truck look that ages pretty well IMO..... and I like it that RAM calls it 'RAM Classic.' :favorites13:

    2019's with old body style

    I am glad RAM does the Classic. To me, the 4th Gen RAM is the last with the classic 'Mini Big Rig' front look, and it will age quite timelessly.

    What is your (1) favorite addition to your truck ?

    Mopar Cat-Back Exhaust -- installed by dealer right after I bought the truck, hence it would be cover under warranty (new car and extended.) The sound is classic V8 rumble, not too loud yet not too subtle. The dual 5" stainless steel exhaust pipes looks great too.

    2019 RAM 1500 4 inches longer

    Same for me; if the 5th Gen is 4 inches longer, that would be a 'deal killer for me.' :( My 4th Gen Crew Cab 5.7 Bed fits perfectly in my garage, and leaves enough room to walk around it. I also need to visit some office buildings from time to time, and my 4th Gen can fit in all tight spaces...

    I don't know about 2016, but my 2017 Rebel came with Anti-Spin Differential (that's what RAM called it.) Mine is a Black Edition. Love this truck.

    4th Gen RAM Tribute-Picture thread

    The 5th Gen Crew Cab is 4 inches longer, and that won't fit (nicely) inside my garage. I am sticking with my 4th Gen Crew Cab, its size is perfect for me.

    2019 RAM 1500: more scoop...

    I read that the new 2019 RAM 1500 Crew Cab is 4 inches longer...? That means it will no longer fit (nicely) inside my garage, and I do try to park my $50K truck inside my garage overnight, for security reason. I guess I will have to stick with my 2017 Crew Cab, and to me its size is perfect.

    Thank for sharing. I have a 2017 RAM 1500 Rebel. If I would like to change the bulbs inside the 3 brake light (on roof, above the sliding window)... Would these bulbs at Amazon work...

    Air suspension ride sensitivity

    I have a 2017 RAM 1500 Rebel, which has air suspension on all 4 corners. No problem or vibration. I do like the air suspension; it corners very flat, almost like driving a big tall sedan. The auto-leveling is also nice when hauling and towing. Tires could affect the ride quality... Some...

    Vehicles nowadays are so complex. Jay Leno once said something like, "Last year's old-tech is better than first year's new-tech." I agreed. I am sure the new 5th Generation RAM will be nice; yet, I will give it at least a couple years to sort out any kinks. Just to be sure.

    I have the Mopar Cat-back Exhaust System, and I really like it. It is not too noisy when I need it (freeway cruising, idling at traffic jam), it rumbles when I step on the gas, and it sounds great during start-up. The two 5" tailpipes also looks good with the truck. I had my dealer...

    Push button start, is your '17 fickle?

    On my 2017 RAM 1500, I figured that I need to step on the brake pedal 'deep' and push the start button 'firm.' It'll start just fine. Interesting, I recently drove a 2017 Mercedes GLE350 SUV as a loaner-car, and it needed the same on its push start -- step on brake deep and push the button firm.

    Tree sap removal

    q1` Quick Detailer (any brand.) Do not wash/water/wet the surface. Spray Quick Detailer on the tree sap, with good amount. Wait a minute. Then use a micro-fiber cloth (or our finger tip) to 'gently' wipe it off. Works like a charm.
