    Stupid Recall Notice

Sounds like you're jumping from the frying pan into the fire with that Beemer. Wait 'til you get involved with maintaining that horror. Dont take this the wrong way but, you sound like more of a car guy anyway. I could never just replace my truck with a car. Never.

    LED headlight bulb swap question

Yup, and if you get ham-****** for some reason, you can break that plastic latch really easily! Ask me how I know.

    Intermittent Slight “hop” at 72mph.

As previously stated, most likely a tire/rim or a balance problem. Do one thing at a time so you'll know what fixed it. I've put 60k on my '17 2500 6.4, CC, Long bed and never felt anything like you described. In fact, the only thing that bothers me is the intrusive speed governor that kicks...

    Towing gas mileage

I'm now in the hills of extreme NE TN and any drive is like a roller coaster. I use T/H mode because it makes my truck behave more like I would do if I had a manual trans. These hills are full of momentum killing switchbacks and the truck doesn't know how close the next one is so it's never...

    Thirty - Thirty

Sorry for the delayed response but life throws curveballs and I took a few years off. I did everything at 30k. Oil, trans fluid, transfer case fluid, both rears fluid, brakes (needed this, I drove it hard first 30k). Of course, this is all useless info to you now, sorry. I'm back and you're my...

6.4 Hemi 100K Spark Plug Change

I thought so too until somebody pointed out that it sucks even more to NOT get old. It just dawned on me that I've actually been alive in eight (8) different decades. And all along I thought it was the 3 back surgeries, three shoulder surgeries, one semi gut removal surgery, two wrecked...

    Throttle response controller

I've had my PC for about 2 yrs now and after screwing around with different settings, I finally settled on Sport+4. I know, too touchy. No. Leave it there and your brain will adapt and teach your right foot how to get rolling smoothly. Never threw a code, No CEL ever. It's a glorified...

    Strange things happens.

Might be intermittent due to random stop engine position. If the valve spring is compressed for a certain possibly worn lifter, it might cause the oil to bleed out of that lifter when not running, then make noise upon start-up. If engine stops in a different position leaving no additional...

anybody else get soaked this weekend camping?

Rain while camping will reveal who has the best fire making skills. Most of my camping years were done on a Harley with a bunch of idiots dressed similarly. Step one: put flat rock under kickstand. Step 2: beer Step 3: make fire by any means necessary. Step 4: beer Step 5: pick up Rockhead's...

    Fence panels

^^^^^^^^^^THIS!! ^^^^^^^^^^ I did lean them on my '84 Ram for a 3 mi. trip. I hit a pot hole and the weight caused the side wall of the bed to tear away from the truck! Granted, I had a few more than you and mine were 4x8x5/8 stockade fence but, where is the line? I didn't know. HomoDepo...

    Tow/Haul Switch?

You might very well get better mpg with it on. You will also keep the trans cooler. That's a BIG plus. I towed my little 19 ft Toy Hauler (4,800 lbs +/-) 400 miles last week with it on 100% of the time. Trans temp is usually 172 degrees F. when not towing anything. Looked at it all day...

anybody else get soaked this weekend camping?

Setting up & leveling my new Toy hauler in Mountain City, TN. Soaked thru 'n thru. 15 minutes later and I would have been dry as a bone! Oh well, we have a long track record of getting soaked going to Rolling Thunder in Washington DC. Just came early this year. Sent from my SM-N910V using...

    Brakes

Your rotors appear to be de-laminating somehow. Since they are not laminated to begin with, I vote some nasty Ness got into the molten iron when they were made. I've turned wrenches for 45 yrs and never ever seen a rotor do that. I have the same truck as you only one yr older and I rotate my...

    HD tire PSI

Old guys will get this... Mid 70's, I had a 72 Camaro, 327, 4-spd Muncie M22, 12 bolt rear with 4.56s. I ran N50-15 tires (12" tread) on some nice Cragar 10" rims. That is until it snowed. Car would not move in the snow. Wide rubber just stayed on top of the snow and they just spun. Out...

    Decision time 4:56 or 4:88

5.13's. You won't regret it one bit. As stated previously, nobody comes back and complains about going to 4.88s or 5.13s. Keep the revs up, That 6.4 does not like to lug. You will think you're in a different truck at first. In the good way. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    2018 RAM 2500 4x4 Tradesman - Shocks, gas mileage

The 6.4 Motor was engineered to tow weight and last a long time, not to be fast. Keep in mind also, the HD 2500's are about a to heavier than any 1500. Put that big Hemi in a 1500 and I bet you'd notice some serious improvement in giddyup. And yeah, mileage in mine never goes above 11 mpg...
