    As far as I know Long Tubes are totally legal as long as you have Cats still... get a catless Y pipe then yes of course they are "track only" or "off road only". I believe Long tubes have the potential to make more power if your going with a big cam or supercharger.... Shorties are the everyday...

    Performance wise... not really. But I notice how much this 8 speed shifts up and down so much! (A LOT) Also, The drone is ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE on the highway doing 60-75mph. It goes away a little at 80+... I am definitely going to be adding mufflers. Any recommendations for mufflers...

    Its loud but not as bad as i was thinking. I came from having a 2008 trailblazer SS with LT Headers no cats straight piped. The trailblazer was painfully loud. haha I am contemplating adding a set of mufflers.... I paid $225 out the door and they supplied the X Pipe.:happy107:

    Finally got the truck over to the muffler shop. Got them to cut it at the stock Y pipe and go into true duals then into an X pipe. Deleted the GIANT muffler and connected up to the stock duals out back. Left the stock resonators in place with the same tips. Ill post up a video of it all...

    So I'm looking to cut my stock Y pipe, delete the stock muffler, and go true dual. I'm not looking for obnoxious loud and I want a crossover of some type ( X or H pipe). My question is... should I put in a dual in dual out small muffler or an X pipe or both? I'm thinking both would be redundant...

    Yep mine rust overnight if they get wet... Nice recommendation on rotors too!! Keep us updated on the rust issue with these and the Gm / Delco ones!
