This is a full pallet of retaining wall stones (somewhere around 2300lbs). I have since got Airlift 5000's and a dump trailer. I made a number of trips with a pallet in the bed and it did OK (front end was a little squirrely), but I won't do that to the truck again. The dump trailer is the...
One thing to consider is that the hemi's max torque is around the 4000 rpm mark and max HP is around 5600 rpms, so they do generally have to downshift to get into that power band when towing something.
I believe that the air suspension has a setting that will set the truck down lower when "Parked" which will make it easier to get inside.
Auto folding steps are generally lower depending on manufacturer however not all are.
The problem with snowy, cold MN is that the air suspension is...
The only thing on your list of new parts that I would think would cause an instant shut down would be the fuel pump, but I don't think it would cause the truck to go into limp mode. Also, have you actually scanned for the codes or are you just assuming that because the CEL didn't come on there...
Problem #1 right there....
Seriously, you need to wait until you have the alignment completed and the tires balanced before you make any decisions. Also when balancing (road force would be best) have them check for runout. Your "friend" may have hit a curb and dented a rim. If after all...
Exactly, that's why I suggest the Cybertruck kit for the RAM.
I assume you are talking about the latest generation of EcoDiesel? My 2018 was standard with the 3:55.
For my truck, I usually find the tire I want then go find the cheapest place to get it. My wife's Acura had Michelin Pilots on it and they were awesome, so when it came time to replace I opted for a little more aggressive Cross Climate II's (love them). Costco had them in stock and were about...
Welcome to the forum.
Can you hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key to run (without cranking/starting the engine)?
How much fuel did you have when you were on the ramps? May have been at such an angle that the fuel pump was running dry and caused some damage.
The fact it didn't...
Not sure about yours, but I have a lifetime warranty on my Line-X spray in liner. I think most of the bigger names (Line-X, Rhino, etc.) offer that warranty.
Stab in the dark here, but is it a classic or is it a new generation? If it's a classic, have you (or previous owner) had it SofaKing tuned? They have a problem with their tunes not remote-starting in cold weather.
**Edited for my ignorance** I don't think they made a model year 2020...
Same here. My old Ram (2000 1500 Sport) got rear ended three times and all three times, the car that hit me was pretty hammered and all that happened to my truck was scratched paint on the hitch. A little rattle can and I was back at it.
I'd give some carburetor spray a shot at cleaning up the gunk and if that doesn't do the trick, then weigh the cost of a rebuild kit vs. just purchasing a new carb. They are pretty cheap on eBay and might be a better value and use of time. Good luck. Sounds like a fun project and good on you...
Seems you have multiple things that could cause the vibrations. Road force balance is great for balancing, but the person doing the job must also check for tire/wheel runout. If you have a tire that is just a hair out of round, you'll have a vibration. Are your spacers hub-centric or...
This 100! The increased price is always in the conversation of why NOT to buy a diesel, but people never realize that much of that initial cost carries over to the resale value....which makes that initial cost less of a deal breaker.
Said no man ever....
I went with the AirLift 5000 bags that are outside of the springs and are pretty stout. Only reason is because my neighbor (we live on a dirt/gravel road) has the 1000's (inside the spring) and he has had a rock wedge inside and wear a hole in them twice in the last two years. I think bags of...
