    You don't have that much weight on my pudgey old 06, it was 5,480 without driver sitting in it with 1/8 tank of fuel sitting on my 305/50R280s. But you are right on the Rams being pudgey, that is why I went with a lighter truck this time around.

    Jeez, 1.99s 60' on drag radials with a converter and 3.92s is a pretty soft launch if you ask me, I get that on stock rubber and an open differential. 1.89 is getting better though. I agree though better air and shift points and the truck is going to fly.

    Questioning my newly installed 4.56 gears

    I noticed just the opposite. With my 32" tall 305/50s the 3.55s lugged the truck to death under 90 mph. When I put 4.56s in the truck I got better mpg EVERYWHERE. I even ran with no OD at 75 mph and 3,500 rpm for a while when the trans was going out and still got 17 mpg.

    Rough idle 2006 4.7 New engine

    Does this only happen with the transmission in gear with a warm engine, a/c off and after pulling up to a stop sign or stop light?? If so my 06 has done this since I have had it. Pull up to a stop, idles low at 400-500 rpm with a very noticeable roughness, after 5-30 seconds it idles back up...

    anyone tried fitting 3rd gen headers on the 4th gens

    The 3rd gen Pacessetter headers bolt up to the Eagle heads just fine, as do the GC SRT8 manifolds. I know I have both and have bolted both to the 09+ Eagle heads. As for chassis fitment, no clue there, do not have an 09+ Ram to test it up against. The SRT8 manifolds fit the 3rd gen chassis...

    4.7 performance questions

    Shorty headers might not show a good gain on a stock motor, but a HO cammed or better engine with the 08 intake, shows great gains, especially in the midrange seat of the pants and while towing.

    6.2 crew cabs definately aren't that fast, the RC trucks can be quick though. Watched a CCSB 4x4 6.2 run consistant 10.80s at Northstar last summer. My 5.7 was running 9.50s @ 75 mph with headers, exhaust, and tuning.

    I need to run by my house in Euless and pickup my drag radials for Red Ram out of my garage. I will be in the Titan...To scared to drive the Ram all the way out there with the OD clutches gone, because its only a matter of time before I lose 3rd.
