Are locking lug nuts worth it?

due to the socket that slips over them, locking nuts are less likely to scratch the finish of your wheels, when you change a tire. I big plus if you have aftermarket wheels that have a step out to get tire away from radius arm!

Purchasing a extended warranty, yes / no?

everybody has their own story. I had a non fca extended warranty. when I had a blown strut, they would only cover the cost of replacing one, not both sides.. IN my opinion, that could lead to unsafe handling. So I canceled the warranty, and used the money I saved to buy fox shocks all around...

    New guy question...

I bought a stall mat from Murdock's, they just lay down between the fender wells, and are designed to keep things from slipping, plus have ridges to let it dry underneath after a rain. I also cut a 2x4 for the back slots, to keep bottles from rolling to the front NOBODY likes flat coke ;')

Wth is this? Block heater on gas motor?

most of the rigs in AK, have both oil heaters, and block heaters, as well as a heating pad under the battery. And yes, you plug them in as soon as you get out.

Dial Shifter Made My Life Easier

When I bought my first 2010 I did put it into four low, instead of turn the radio knob. Of course all the auto stuff, didn't actually let it shift , but. I can see grabbing the wrong knob when it is totally new. I was used to driving a Dakota stick shift. Now that I have had three center...

    4x4 in Snow and Mud

I was seriously considering either the Nitto ridge Grapplers, or the trail, grapplers. How are they wearing for you? better than BFG at's?

    4x4 in Snow and Mud

Oh NO! Hopefully no one hurt, just metal? I didn't say much about the hak's, because I don't like to just go with first impressions. Hopefully by next winter I will be able to form an informed opinion. Still no complaints this winter with them.

Locked out MDS today, OMG, this truck is Amazing!

I leave mine alone, but I totally agree, with you I will feel a shutter, or it doesn't sound quite right, and I think UH OH, and look down, and the eco is on. Though after three, Rams I don't notice it quite as often any more, guess they have trained me not to listen to the engine. Oh and its...

    Catastrophic Engine Failure

I bought it when I bought my 2010 used, after a couple months I discovered a strut leaking oil from a pin hole. I took it to mechanic, and found they would only replace the one that was blown. I figure not a good idea to have on 8 year old, and one new. Could cause handling issues. So I...

    4x4 in Snow and Mud

I put on Pathfinders All Terrain (Discount tire only brand?) because I had to buy tires to clear my lvl kit, and had spent too much money on it , and rims. They did great in mud and dirt, and pavement, terrible in snow, but even with rotating and checking my alignment, they have already...

    4x4 in Snow and Mud

completely agree, I just put on my first ever set just like yours, Can't believe how well they do, even on icy streets, with out any weight in back!! However, I have to tell my self a new set is still less than fixing bent metal!

    Why buy running boards

I don't know where you live, but if you buy flat ones, they hold mud, and frozen muck from driving! Rounded ones do much better, but you still have to stomp on them a bit to get the ice to break off, if you want to use, them, and.... if you don't use them you get your legs muddy from touching...

    Why I like my 3.21

just sold my dakota fitting your description, with over 240,000 miles, it still didn't use enough oil to need to add any before time to change. OH, and.. if you want to go beyond that pesky speed limiter all you had to do is turn your key like you were trying to start it. It killed the...

Most beautiful Borla muffler swap perhaps?

Thanks for posting this! I have a borla on my 96 trash can, and love the sound, has that rumble, without being too loud. I have been thinking of putting this on my ram, but, was not sure it would sound as good and be as livable at on the trash can. Though technically, they are just about the...

    Bed Management

Admittedly, my bed slippage fix is more designed for construction tools, but, I will add my two cents. I bought a horse stall mat, which fits in the bed, and is thick non slip rubber, it is stiff enough that the ribs of the truck hold it up so moisture doesn't get trapped under it. I have...

    pics of Rams in use.

I used to haul my construction tools over the sides ALL the time, so know it is easy to ding scratch the sides with out them too!! especially if you have a tool belt on, with hammer etc, swinging from it. Camper shell, not a problem, but have wondered about hauling four wheelers, etc. might be...
