How To 4th gen tow mirror parking light mod

I did this mod to my ‘13 tow mirrors almost 4 years ago and haven’t had any LED’s burn out yet. YMMV...

    HID

Here in Oklahoma, people will flash their headlights if oncoming lights are too bright. I find it very odd that in over 10 months of driving not one single person has tried to warn me that my headlights are too bright or blinding them. If there was "allot of glare" you would think at least ONE...

    HID

Being a college kid who could not afford a proper, full-on projector setup, I did the 50W 6000K H11 kit from Jeremy at RetroShop for the low beams in my quad housings. The low beam has a small cover directly in front of it so there is minimal glare and I have yet to be flashed ONCE by oncoming...

    HID Conversion Questions

The first upgrade I did to my 2013 quad (reflector style) headlights was switching to Sylvania ZXE halogen bulbs. I switched the low beams(H11), high beams(9005) and fog lights(9006) to ZXE's and they were a solid upgrade over the stock bulbs. I ran this setup for over two years with zero...

Keep amber lights running on mirrors.

It's definitely not the easiest mod to do but following this write up made it simple enough for a DIY project. Post #15 is my reply to the thread to see pictures/videos of them in action. The amount of resistance in the resistors you use will affect how bright the running light will be, while...

    LED/HID Kit

Being a college kid who could not afford a proper, full-on projector setup, I did the 50W 6000K H11 kit from Jeremy at RetroShop for the low beams in my quad headlights. Air suspension clunk

Hmm that is strange. I've never experienced any problems or oddities with my 2013's air suspension over 4 years and 70k miles, which has honestly surprised me considering that was the first year for it... *knock on wood*

    Sylvania Halogen ZXE bulbs

Ran ZXE's in all 3 lights (high, low, fog) for about two and a half years and never had any problems with them. They're a great upgrade from stock, especially for the low price. Think I got all 3 pairs on sale for around $100 from a local auto store. I thought they were bright but then I...

Scratches on Upper bevel of Box

I've got them too. Mine are definitely from leaning against the bed rail and loading cargo over them as well as climbing in and out of the bed by stepping on the tire and over the bed rail. The scratches don't bother me much since my pickup is silver, which makes them hard to see.

Is anyone running 305/55R20 tires with air suspension, no level/lift???

Aero mode drops the front around an inch at highway speeds. Entry/Exit mode drops the front and rear 2 inches. Off-Road 1 and 2 modes raise the front and rear 1 and 2 inches, respectively. I'm running 275/65R20 Cooper ST Maxx's on my '13 Express with the factory air suspension and chrome clad...

    Husky vs weather tech

Can't speak for the Husky's but I've had WeatherTech's front (over-the-hump) and rear mats for two and a half year years and they've held up great. I'll take them out and deep clean them every few months and they will look brand new again. They've been through just about every possible weather...

Tow Hitch Mount 40W High Power CREE LED Pod Backup Reverse Lights

Yeah those are way overpriced for what you get IMO. I got these off Amazon for $19 and they are awesome. I mounted them to the stock rear bumper by simply drilling through the bottom lip and using the bolts that came with the lights. Tapped them into the reverse wire in the trailer wiring...

    Added front window tint

50% on the windshield is the way to go. No visibility loss at night and it significantly cuts down glare from oncoming headlights. Had it over two years now and never had a problem with the law. Oklahoma is pretty lax, though. I see guys every day running 20% or darker on their windshields...

    Cooper S/T Maxx 275/65/20

The drivers side rubs the inner fender liner just a tad in normal mode (which should be the same as yours stock) in a fully locked turn because of the way the rear of the liner protrudes slightly into the fender well area. No rub in Off-road 1 or 2 modes which are roughly 1 and 2 inches taller...

    Brush/Bumper guard help

Thanks! I think Ranch Hand labels all of their grill guards as "Legend Grill Guards" but it is the Sport Series. Either way it's the only grill guard they make for '13-'16 RAM 1500's. And the license plate is a great way to show off my love for both agriculture and my alma mater!

    Brush/Bumper guard help

I highly recommend the Ranch Hand. I've had one on my '13 Express for almost three years now and it has been great. Though I do not have factory tow hooks, the Ranch Hand will allow you to retain them.
