Now ive gotten this alot and im sure someone reading this will either be thinking it or even ask it, but why all this trouble for a v6 ram?

well why not, i love the 3rd gen body style, i have 3 of them, but there are a few reasons i went back with a v6, one being that it was the easiest way to go, two being that in the area i live in, they do not like vehicles with different motors swapped in them so it would have made it a PAIN to get it inspected and street legal, three, i have 4 dodge rams total, my 2003 show truck, this 2003 reg cab, my 08 3/4 ton and my 2013 reg cab, two of my trucks are HEMI trucks, the 08 and my show truck, my show truck has a 6.1 srt motor in it, so when it comes to performance i have it, my 2013 is a 3.6 v6 with an 8 spd auto, and if you havent driven one of those trucks they are quite peppy.

that being said i am not building this truck to be a race truck, i am building it to be another show truck that will be just as beautiful as her sister, and be one hell of a fun cruiser to take around town and to shows, and the big plan is to have her dragging the ground :naughty:

so who needs speed when you got sparks :happy107:

I’ll admit, a v6 ain’t my first choice. BUT...if i had three other rams laying around my driveway, I’d say they same thing. “Screw it, I need a gas efficient grocery getter that looks awesome” haha. Great job Dan
I have half a mind to fly you up to Ohio to detail my truck when it’s all finished [emoji23]

I went with the 3rd gen style tow mirrors with LEDs in them, I almost went with the 4th gen ones like i have on my 08 but i want the more curved look of the 3g style for this truck

Well today was a good day for my black truck...

Pulled her out of the garage at 9:30am and worked on her untill about 4pm, doing installs and cleaning up the massive mess the truck had inside of it...

Tons of leftover/extra parts from the two motor swaps, many various mods awaiting installation and more lol, it all came out and got cleaned, but aside of cleaning the truck i started with replacing all the speakers with fosgates...

62b194db092ce8a6e6898ea16cb44813.jpg

And these things really suprised me to say the least!

Everything audio related in this truck will be fosgate, even all the wiring...

To add a small detail i took the emblem off the speaker grills that came woth the 6x9s and put it on the door panels just for that subtle touch...

290cad87109b5e5ef8c133918b1841ef.jpg

Then I installed some new tow mirrors and wired in the LEDs to the turn signals

49b7adf1dee363016b6bc6afa12271aa.jpg
30466dba6cf429acbb5b64014d61b9c1.jpg

And folded up for the haters that cry and get butthurt over the tow mirrors...

99ab4caeb977d337ed31e7e91ac6f35d.jpg

Then once again, for the 4th time, bought another new 3rd brake light (didnt like the fitment of the others) and im much happier with this one.

You can see the trucks new wheels and just a fraction of the boxes removed from the inside of the truck

59e93a81645eaa1e9c25e9c6b1d92068.jpg

Then since i think a v6 sounds like absolute hell with custom exhaust, i cut off the visible tip of the tailpipe and just left the turndown behind the axel where you cant see it

174229f738cd2c5d309ade601e2c55a3.jpg

And finished up the day with putting the smoked headlights back on the truck, i couldnt stand the amber corners in the retrofitted lights so apart they come and im gona put clears in em

3b34bd8d1544d7cf027ec40c415fad81.jpg

And just a perfectly timed picture of the hazards turned on so you can see the mirrors lit up

Took apart those ebay retrofitted headlights, then replaced the amber with clear corners...

So much better!

Well yesterday was very interesting to say the least, long story short, a old buddies show truck wound up wrecked and on the vehicle auction lot, i lost the auction for the whole truck, but i did make a dealw ith the winner to get the bed of the truck, anyways here is the truck in its better days...

4cb247a9b24b437ea2a7aa15331cb064.jpg

And here is how i found the poor thing...

7be6b72752b929a1b7872dfc153cd104.jpg

Anyways onto the point, here is the bed, obviously its going to get repainted but the perk of this bed is that the stake holes, roll pan and gas door are all completely shaved and the fuel filler has been relocated to the inside of the bedthe bed isnt perfect but its a really good start, the tailgate is shaved with full tailgate handle relocation kit and while the face of the gate is has some dents the tailgate is decent...

fa8881a0630c6b17d84eccd749d7ca7a.jpg
6dac73616be730766a80107fed61d0aa.jpg

After close inspection me and my painter are going to redo the roll pan and we are going to reuse my tailgate from my black truck, the custom tailgate is going to become a wall hanger.

I hate seeing customs destroyed but my friends truck will live on through my black truck project

Well since im not going to put the tailgate on a truck, i opened it up, used some PDR tools i have and got the dents out the best i could with the limited tools i had and then did a full polish and got this thing looking really good considering how it started...

My current project, complete center console that houses a 12" kicker solo-baric, fine tuning on the mounting and fitment and it will be mounted in my black truck, and yes those are flames embedded in the top of the box
