11.5 Rear Diff. Fluid Amount???

How much fluid does the 11.5 rear differential take? I put the new cover on below and was able to get in 3.5 quarts or 7 pints. The owner's manual doesn't tell you.

I do have 4.10 gears if that makes a difference.

Amsoil says 4.25 Quarts.

What size gears do you have?

What is confusing me is that I'm finding fill levels like your but with the new cover I should be able to get more in.

I am a full time RVer so I want to get it right.

3.73.. Fill till it won't take any more. Drive a little and check it's full and doesn't leak. Don't worry about it..

That's what I have.

I'll check the level again tomorrow and see if it can take any more.

I have 4.10 gears and Anti-Spin - maybe all that doesn't allow for the 8.45 pints.

I found this write up for the installtion of the new rear diff cover. I feel better!
