!!! $13200 to replace motor!!! HELP

What do you mean no more motor? Loud noises? Stalled and won’t start? Seized?

The vehicle shut off, I attempted to restart and got a really bad knock. Sounded like the motor was full of gravel! To make matters worse I ordered a 2018 Ford Raptor and was going tomorrow to trade the truck and put my deposit down, but that plan is @#$^$#

Sorry to hear about that. Bright news is the Raptor only has 6 cylinders to potentially break.

UPDATE!! I picked the truck up yesterday and spoke with the service advisor. Service advisor told me cylinders 2 & 8 had valve spring failures. Remedy, two new Pistons, lifters, valves, and a new head. All covered under warranty! Thank you everybody for all the advice I really appreciate it!!!

I don't get it. They replaced the whole head for two valve springs? The two new pistons is even more intriguing. There must have been valve to piston contact. That probably screwed up the valve guides too. That's pretty bad. I wonder if they bothered to check the balance on the rotating assembly after replacing two pistons. Ideally the replacements should have been the same weight, but I have to wonder if they at least verified or just assumed. Did they check the connecting rods were still straight?

Now that it's completely blown up, I'm betting they didn't put it back together right. Good luck man. At least this time, it shouldn't be as much of a headache since THEY are the last ones to touch the engine and it blew up after 1000 miles.

Hard to believe that FCA would be dragging their knuckles for so long on this. Lousy customer service and enough to sour a person on the brand for life.
