Here's our new truck! Left the dealership with 80 miles on it and 100 by the time I pulled into the driveway. We have never bought new before but I am starting to really like that new truck smell. 9c824a0fa639ec4b4b37154222362e6b.jpg
Unfortunately it didn't even last a week before it got scratched up....we had a pop up covering our car and it blew back thanks to 40 mph winds last night and gave the truck two white scratches. 5a0d4be99a4276bbed34c2de4e3f9062.jpg01422fd1fa83e6b3fa02dcfd38838eb6.jpg
It didn't touch the '12 avenger but of course it had to '17....

Sucks that it's black so the scratches show really clearly. I've got tons of scratches on my truck but it's silver so they don't show too bad. I also use my truck as a truck so not too concerned with scratches haha.

I would think you could buff that out. Or hit the tiny area with some super high grit Sandpaper and wet sand for a moment then buff by hand to bring the gloss back.
I did that to mine when I wetsanded where people had wrote in the mud and it scratched into my paint, and the sanding made the clearcoat glazed looking

Been really thinking about the led bar idea...not up high but down in the bumper. Can't decide if that'll kill the blacked out vibe the truck has or just do it. What y'all think?
It would either be a 42", or a 30" in between tow hooks that would go on with it....

If your worried about keeping the "murdered" look they have bars with black face plates so they are literally solid black lol. just saw a morimoto one posted up here somewhere and looked awesome, i know a few other companies are making em that arent anywhere near the "**** you industries" (rigid) price. i believe rough country is making them as well for pretty fair price

i am planning on taking mine apart and painting the face plates as i dont like how the chrome looks, killing my storm trooper look! im sure ill lose a bit of light output but o well

Lol that was my exact worry! I have some pods I painted black and wasn't too happy with them. It did take a lot of the brightness away but you still got tons of extra light I guess. 860fe65aaa6cbebcb677f02a787267f5.jpg I wonder if they have the black insides as well. I didn't go all out with the black paint in this picture. Might still use these as my reverse/*******-turn-off-your-brights lights

Had my new 2017 Express for two and a high school kid backed into my bumper. Left a couple small dig marks in my bumper. I was pissed, but I was young and wrecked some **** up. It sucks, but life goes on.

6432e3c0b23fa09e39cbce21f2144526.jpgGot it tinted this last weekend. The guy local to me also did my last truck and I was very happy with his work and his price. Did 5% on rear window and back doors and 40% on the front with a 5% brow all for $210. Love this look.
Next is either bils, moes black 5" exhaust tips, cai, or start doing some lighting mods. f85ccfe1258f042c512c0affde916150.jpgyea its filthy. It's the middle of almond/walnut harvest. No point spending a couple hours washing her and then waking up the next morning with layers of dust sticking to the morning dew. NorCal problems lol

I've read a lot before I got this truck about how ****** the quads are. Honestly they're better than my 3rd with a 4" rake. But now I'm getting tired of them. I've been debating on HIDs or some projectors. I've read a lot on this forum. Don't think I can do retro at this moment. Should I just do HIDs for the meantime?

You can drop some hids in there and it will be way brighter but stand by for everyone tellin you your gonna blind everyone and to do it right with projectors.

**** I just saw you responded....I am actually trying to acquire all the parts for this. I saw your diy projectors and am wanting to do the same thing.
I had HIDs for my fogs and one kept going out on me. Did a 900 mile (round trip) road trip and my passenger side kept going out about every 40 miles or so. Irritated the hell out of me. What's a good company for HIDs? I used some brand off amazon but that may just be my problem.....can't bring my cheep ass to spend $80 on fog HIDs....

I've been doing research on retrofitting my lights. I eventually want to take them to a dealer and activate the drls. According to the computer, the drls for quads are the low beams at a lower wattage. Drls for the projectors are the amber turn signal/running lights. I like the look of the amber for drls. I think it looks clean and sleek. Is this accurate? Does any know if it is possible to just activate the ambers on my quads or will I have to retrofit a pair of projectors?

I got multiple scratches on my 17 within months of owning it. Somehow with my previous vehicles I don't think I had a noticeable scratch in like 2 years. Was quite furious but fixed them to not being noticeable
