Cannot settle on a choice for my bils. Ground to center of wheel well is 37.75" up front and 40" in the rear. Which means I have 2.25" of rake. Id hate for the front to be too high and have to add spacers in the rear 59221313b45f212ceccbf52c79284e33.jpg

I was at 36.75 in front and 39.25 in back. I went with the 2.8 and it came out nearly dead level. Not sure why I didn’t get all 2.8. But I went in with the mindset that if it wasn’t level I would add the spacers. If you absolutely don’t want the spacers I would go 2.1.

I had similar measurements as you and I set mine at 2.8. It was nose high for about 3 days then it was dead level after settling in.

Very similar measurements on mine before I did them last week. Went 2.8 and I wanted rear spacers so I put readylift 1.5s in as I don’t mind the rake. Sometimes I have a little Weight in the rear but rarely tow anything.

After mine installed I got this look. Did the alignment 3 days after install and I have had zero death wobble in 4x4 Lock at high speeds. Smooth as before. If I went 2.1 I would have been disappointed because the 2.8 just barely clears my 34s. Not enough to fit 35s without rubbing again.

I'd say if you're totally against spacers do 2.1. I don't remember my measurments but I did 2.1 and still added spacers because I ended up with just under 1/2" of rake and didn't like the "saggy" back end.

Before and after. Went with 2.1 and it was perfect. Less than 1/2" of rake. 071af133003006e9b0c073cdda9dd654.jpg

Struggling with this same decision, but I am towing a trailer weighing at least 3k (often 5k+) 3 or 4 days a week for work. I don't really want to add a spacer in the rear, but will probably need to put air bags in the rear springs to help.

I've had the Bilsteins sitting in my the garage for over 3 months now :sleepy:

I have the 2014 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Crew Cab. I want a 6 inch lift with Bilsteins all around and am considerring the 6 inch Superlift with the bilsteins ir the BDS 6 inch with Fox 2.0's.
The problem I have is the 2014 Outdoorsman already comes 1 inch higher than the stock 1500 SLT so they warn against the 6 inch lift due to cv vibration and alignment issues.
Anyone out there with the Outdoorsman that can point me the way? I want max lift with no more than 1 inch of rake. Perfectly level is not a priority for me as I will occasionally pull a trailer with a riding mower.
I have heard as long as I don't go 2.8 on the bilsteins I will be ok. Is 2.1 ok or 1.4? I don't want to wear out the cv or other components or fight alignment issues.
I'm putting 35x12.5 Mickey Thompsons on a set of 20x10 wheels as well.

Any help is appreciated.

You will never have the death wobble with a IFS truck only a sraight axle truck.

So much misconception out there about the "Death Wobble".

Was pretty sure I read lots that these 4th Gen 1500s are hit or miss that it happens.

Regardless I’m still happy I haven’t had this issue. Though I rarely run higher speeds in 4x4. Usually run 4-Auto all winter and 2-Wheel in summer. Then 4-lock in deeper snow/lower speeds and have yet to make any use of 4-low.
