looking at doing a 2-4 drop. Who sells the best kit? plan on running bilstein 5100's too
As far as a kit goes I can't really help you out since I pieced my kit together myself.
For the front you have two options. You can either get new drop spindles from belltech or just get 2" drop springs. The spindles are definitely the nicer way to go since they will keep all your suspension geometry the same as factory. Only downside is they cost quite a bit more than a set of springs.
The springs are ok and will work just fine as well from what I've seen. Especially since you are only dropping 2" in the front. Once you start going lower than 2" the springs I believe is when it starts getting hard to get the alignment correct again.
As for the rear of the truck you would need the shackle and hanger kit to get you a 4" drop. Or I've also seen somewhere that belltech offers a whole new lowering leaf pack that will give you the 4" drop as well.
I've got belltechs spindles on the front and a DJM hanger kit for the rear of my truck. Still rides really good to me.
Oh also forgot if you go with the spindles on the front you can keep your factory length shocks. But the rear will require new shorter shocks no matter what. I'm running a set of nitro drop 2's in the back of mine.
Bought my 2/4 drop off Ebay through Suspension Specialists.
Came with front springs, rear hangers & shackles, plus a set of Nitro drop shocks for $389.
I love the look!
