Has anyone had a problem with setting them at 2.8? I'm replacing the upper control arms at the same time

Just ordered the 2.8" 5100s. Guess we will see. Don't see why it would be any different then than 2.1" if installed correctly.

The higher you raise the front with a spacer or strut it changes the front end geometry and increases the çv angles. That leads or can lead to broken parts

I've got mine at 2.1" and really debating weather or not o max them out. At current ride height, the ball joints look good and you can just BARELY tell the cv's are not level. Oh ya, still rock'n the stock control arms!

I'm at 2.8", and it's been totally reliable. Just like stock, but taller :)

No issues at 2.8. I've put 10,000 miles on since the install.

All those at 2.8, are you 4wd? Any 4x4 guys at 2.8" setting, are you getting any vibrations in 4wd ? What's your fastest sustained speed in 4wd?

Just curious because I haven't read any balljoint issues with bilsteins, but have read people have bad vibrations in 4wd due to CV angles. Also read people having CV boot failures. Just curious if this is a common issue or very isolated issue with the 4x4 trucks?

Tires and 2.8

I am sure this is out, I have read both side of the spectrums.. I just did the 2.8 bilstiens up front. I am really happy with them over spacers. So the next logical step is larger tires. I really want to change the tires out from stock. I am really close to putting 35x12.5 on.

What issues has anyone faced with this set up? What was the resolution? If you used spacers what size?
