Looking to put a gooseneck in my 2004 Ram 1500, crew cab short bed, 4x4. What's a good kit to go with?

I do understand that you generally don't pull a gooseneck with a 1/2 ton truck. Only looking to use this one as a backup to my turbodiesel dually should it break down.

I hear you man. I have one in my 1500 for the same reason. I just needed to be able to move empty trailers around on our lots. I went with the b and w hideaway hitch. Rates up to 30,000 lbs...:roflsquared:

I'd love a little 10 ft custom goose neck... something that is within our towing capabilities, but the look of goosenecks are sick if you ask me lol.

Yeah that would be awesome. Goosenecks just pull better, especially when loaded. In the country around here you see a bunch of half tons pulling little one horse gooseneck trailers.

Probably would be worth it to get one and turn it into a flatbed trailer, rather than making a whole new trailer.
Nah, no sense in doing that... you can put stuff inside and have it locked up and what not.
