I have a 2007 with a hemi and am starting to look into an exhaust. Little tight on funds so I was just wondering whats a good exhuast for this truck thats affordable? Prefer a dual outlet sticking out behind the wheels. Wish more people sold exhausts on here buying one used would be better.

Whats the budget were working with? If its very tight you could do a muffler swap to give you the sound and reuse the stock pipe and exit.

Sounds like the owner before you had it dumped. If you can snap a pic and load it up on here.

It depends on how its tied in currently on if a mail order cat back system would work or if you would just have to find an exhaust shop to run it how you would like. The cheapest way to do duals is a single in dual out muffler, cuts down on pipe cost and another muffler.

If you just toss on a single in/ dual out muffler then you would need 2 sets of pipes made up to come off the muffler to clear the rear then back own to exit how you like. You can either order prebent pipe and make it yourself with some time, saw and welder or get a shop to bend it and install.

To give you an idea my truck's exhaust from new till now:
Stock
Stock Y pipe to SI/DO Delta flow 40 with dual out the back SS tips
Mangaflow Y pipe to single chamber SI/SO dumped before rear
Longtubes, no cats to single chamber SI/SO dumped before rear
Longtubes, no cats 14" race bullet SI/SO with stock rear pipe and exit (sleeper look)
Longtubes, no cats to single chamber SI/SO dumped before rear (second time with this setup)

Wifes 05
Stock
Borlia SS cat back system (got it for a steal)

I used to love the look of duals, but now im a fan of it dumped, makes the rear look cleaner IMO, and you dont see it as much as you see the dual exhaust trucks running around.

"Dumped" means the exhaust does not exit the rear of the truck or side but is dumped under it with a down turn.

Setup that was on my truck for years, the day I took it off because the muffler had cracked.

photobucket-2592-1315953949558.jpg

How it exits now dumped before the rear. This pic was taken right after it was finished and before painting. Before the rear will be louder in cab, after the rear wil tone it down in the cab

Ok that is kinda more of a dual not finished. If you want them straight out the back all you need is alill more pipe on each side and a set of tips you like. If you want it to exit behind the tires you will just need a dent section for each side with a small straight section and tips of your choice.

It looks like a chambered flowmaster, prob a 40 series like I had. Your local auto store might have your prebent pipeing and they normally stock tips. The driver side hanger looks farther back then the passenger side unless its just how the photo shows up. You will have to measure your pipe to see what size it is also to get the right size to finish it. Looks like 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 in piping. No prob on the help bud, gotta love working on the truck.

Edit* Also run some steel wool over all the exhaust and clean it up and spray on some high heat paint. You can either buy the stuff at the auto store or BBQ grill paint to help save the pipe and muffler for alill longer.
