I have a 2006 PW that is missing the winch and mount, I have located a winch mount removed from a 2009 model Power wagon. I know that is a 4th gen but will it mount to my 06? I don't want to have it shipped from across the country on a guess. It looks right but wanted input. Thanks.

I know there are a lot of similarities in the early 4th gen and late 3rg gen frames in a normal 2500, but I'm not 100% sure that would work. Hopefully this bump helps someone who knows see this!

Another question.
I know that warn supplied the winch to dodge for these trucks and have read the specs. Will a standard m1200 bolt up to the factory mount and work as it should?

I'm also curious to know. I'm in the market for a PW, and have located an 06, but the PO removed the front bumper and winch, installing an aftermarket bumper. Wondering how difficult it will be to find a replacement.

The more research I do the more I think that if you really want a winch the way to go might be to buy an aftermarket winch bumper. I emailed warn and was told that they dont sell a direct bolt on because dodge specified a reverse spool or.some.b.s. don't expect many answers here as I haven't got much response

It fit. Installed it today.
Now to find a winch that will actually work with this mount. Open to suggestions...

Been looking all over for info on putting a replacement winch into the factory cradle.
I have seen a few say the VR12000 can be mounted upside down in there and work.
I really would like confirmation before blowing a bunch of cash on a guess.

Good find on the mount / cradle.

I ended up getting a 2005 Power Wagon. I can take some pictures of my winch, and post them up, if you think that will help. Maybe compare them to pics of the VR12000?
