I have a 2011 ram 1500. What would it take to convert to a 2013 front end? Is a grill and bumper all that is needed?

There were some changes to the front area between 2012 and 2013. I think the hood is different were it reaches the grill, I think it is higher. The fascia between the bumper and grill is taller, do a side by side comparison. Mounting brackets are probably different also.

This doesn't mean it can't be done but, just would take some work. There are a few people who put a 2500/3500 bumper on a 1500 so if you have the know how I am sure it could be done.

If you have the tools & the time, you & at least one other person can do it

You never mentioned are both front sections made of Plastic or Metal

2012 Grille & valance are shaped squared off at the bottom corners, just like the grille emblem at the top

2013 Grille & valance are shaped differently, the bottom of the grille corners are cut off, just like the top of the grille emblem

I would get the grille that you want to install

Then remove the current grill & set it aside
Then remove the bumper valance & set it aside

Now test fit the replacement grille

You can remove the grille inserts to make the grille lighter
