Will my 2014 sport projector headlights plug right into my 2018 with the stock projector headlights? Same plug and all? Dealer is letting me swap them out at pickup because my 14s are FXR retrofitted and I want my black not the chrome that comes with the new truck.

Yeah, nothing has changed with those since 2013.

Is the dealer doing the swap? I wouldn't have said anything and just did myself lol. What did the truck you are trading come with from the factory? Throw the OEM ones in there and trade it in. Keep two sets of projectors.

Thanks guys. Nope, i'm doing the swap myself when I trade in the truck lol. Both my current truck and the new one came factory with sport headlights and LED tail lights. The new truck is chome everything and my current is factory black out.

I retrofitted my OEM sport headlights with FXR projectors, so I dont have spares. The OEM chrome on the new truck is just Wayyyy to bright for me so I asked to swap mine out. I'm planning on doing the tail lights as well without telling them lol. The tails are chrome sport LED on the new truck and i want to put the black out version sport LED tails that my 14 has to tone it down a bit.

My bad, for some reason I was thinking your '14 came without projectors.

the harness you used for your HID's on your 2014 might not work as expected on the 2018. In 2015 they made more changes to the system which is why there was a different harness for 2015 and up rams.

If you have 35 watt ballasts you might be able to get away with canbus adapter/flicker cancelers instead of a big harness all together.

Yea I know in 2015 they made the systems more sensitive. I already ordered the new harness for the 15+ for my headlight low beams. I did not order a second harness for the fog lights. I honestly think the only difference between the 13-14 harness and the 15+ is the resistors. 13-14 uses 1 resistor per headlight, the 15+ uses two resistors per headlight. But both harnesses are basically 9006 standard harnesses with the resistor packs and the antiflicker capacitor with a splitter. I asked retrofit source if I could just order the resistors (4 total) and they said no. If I did get 4 ($9 each on there website) I would still need 9006 connectors to splice it in and would "hope" it would work. Not worth the $60 I'm saving but really I spent like $85 after discount.

I run 55w Elite headlight ballasts and I run 45w hylux ballasts on my fogs. I plan to try to reuse the 45w hylux with the morimoto canbus adapters (ive been running them on my 14) since I wasn't aware I didnt need them on my 14.
