Can the dealer see it was tuned if an unlocked ecu is in the truck with the stock file on it?
The dealer would treat the unlocked ecu as a factory unit. they wouldn't know it is unlocked.
Ok thanks I might just save the money and do the exchange. This is my 5th ram and never had to have warranty work done on any of them anyways. No different than the 2014 and older trucks that didn't need an unlocked ecu.
If I did an exchange, that would mean my truck would be down during the shipping back and forth correct? How does the tune take place? Does the ecu come to me tuned and its simply plug and play?

Here's how the exchange works. You'll get a tuner first. it'll have a special serial number on it. you use that serial # on the diablo site to fill out the ecu info. Then you will get the new ecu and have 14 days to send your old ecu back. No downtime.
Anything yet on the 17' 2500 6.4 tuning?
No ETA yet. They are hoping a month or 2
Thank you Sean for being patient with the questions. I'm ready the day it comes out.
It has been about 3 months, have they given you any info on a time frame for the 2017 2500 6.4's?
Diablo says they still have 2017 6.4 in the works. No eta though
