I noticed the 2018 Ram Night (fully loaded) I am buying did not have the Alpine system on the sticker and when I went online to build the truck there isn’t even an option for the Alpine premium sound system on the 2018’s. But there IS for the 2017’s. Was it discontinued or is it just standard on the 18’s?

I’m picking it up Saturday, just curious as to what is happening for the 2018 models with the premium sound system option not being available.

Don't know much about it, but I would think if it was standard it would still show on the left hand portion of the window sticker.

It better still be available. I freakin love mine. So much so I don't think I could ever justify spending money out of pocket to upgrade it with aftermarket that thing pounds

My 2018 Night doesn’t have it either. But it wasn’t anything I wanted. When it’s time I’ll do the upgrade my self with better components.

That's wierd. Just do an easy upgrade with the Kicker OEM replacements and it'll be better. [emoji106]

According to the 2018 Ram 1500 Feature Availability document, the Night has standard six speaker system for quad, and crew cabs. The regular cab has standard Premium I seven speakers and eight channel amp. The quad and crew cabs have an optional Premium II system with 10 speakers including a sub-woofer and 12 channel amp. I don't know why you can't do build and price with the option.

If you know your VIN, pull up the build sheet for your truck and see what is listed for the system.

Here's the entire 2018 features pdf.

Well for a bone stock system the Alpine premium system in my 2017 sounds darn good to me, probably best stock system I've owned. I have a 2016 Hellcat Challenger also, Alpine system in my truck sounds wayyyyy better.

I got my 18 Laramie CC with the alpine 10 speaker system last Saturday. Already have upgraded 5 speakers and the sub lol.

The night is not a high enough version. Laramie and limited should have it as an option and possibly the big horn.

Honestly, I’m not a big sound junky. The 6 speaker system has been completely fine and acceptable to me.

I have the nine speaker Alpine system in my 2015 SRT 392 Challenger, and just picked up a 2014 Ram with the "same" setup, and it sounds way better in the Ram. I've seen many people say that. I usually see people posting good things about the 18 speaker HK dual sub setup that the Hellcats get. My Challenger should have had it, too, but it was a pre-production pilot car, and has a few options different than the production cars.

Mopar kicker speakers are horrible. Put them in my ram, they are kickers bottom of the line speakers. Even amplified they sound like crap.
