View attachment 144690 I just bought a 2019 1500 Laramie Sport Crew 4WD w/22” rims... After reading this thread I am still not sure which way to go on a leveling kit…2”, 2-1/2” or 3”? Why the different options? Which one actually levels the truck? Do I really need the kit with control arms or not?

My last truck was a 2014 1500 LoneStar Crew 4WD and I had just the 2” spacer type leveling kit and never had issues with ball joints. I am considering the 2-1/2” this time and curious if the extra 1/2” will make the difference on needing the control arms.

I went this route and also bought the Upper control arms....I will tell you it’s MUCH stiffer riding than stock. Also, I added airbags for towing. Good thing I did....needed the airbags to remove the now Squat from the 2.5” front being taller than the rear. I went with 285/60-20 Ridge Grapplers

Definitely helps to have another set of hands I got some fifteen52 Turbomac HD 20x9 +18 and some Nankang Conqueror AT-5, 275/65R20 tires 34x11ish which I’m totally happy with

Here’s the RC 2” level kit w/UCAs on a 2WD, before and after. Actual lift on the front was about 1 3/4”. It’s still not quite level but looks much better IMHO.

Which UCA’s did you go with?

Sorry, I mis-typed. Mine is a ready lift (not RC) kit 66-1921. The kit came with tubular UCAs.

How did the preload spacers effect ride quality?

Good question. I’m curious too.

The ready lift kit uses top hat spacers. No strut disassembly required and keeps the strut extension same as stock.

My ride quality is the same before and after.

Ok..... Patience with me please. I am so confused. Single women problems. I have '19 1500. What do I need to get anything close to 35's on it? I want the grapplers on 18 rim.

Will just a 2" level work? Do I need to lift? (I miss having a mechanic in the family :))

It really depends on the wheels and the 35” tires as all aren’t truly 35”. Are you trying to use oem wheels ?

has anyone tried the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks yet? I see someone mentioned that 2018 4wd options will fit 2019 2wd and 4wd trucks no problem - I ran those on one of my previous trucks and loved them! Might do the same on my new '19.

Welp, I'll be the test dummy. I ordered a set of the Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks. I'll see if they work on my '19..
They will work but will not provide little lift. It has been discussed here and there is a comparison pic of stock 4th gen, stock 5th gen, and Bilstein 5100s. It looked like with the 5100 set to max it would be equivalent to stock 5th gen struts.

I did the install today - It did lift it. Like mentioned I don't think it lifted it a whole lot, but it does look better in my opinion. I got about 1.5" of lift out of it on the max setting. I was at 36" in the front from ground to top of wheel well prior and am now at 38". My rear is at 38.5" so half inch difference isn't bad. Pictures aren't great. Definitely looks better though overall.

Why would you want to spend hundreds of dollars on struts that’s aren’t designed for your vehicle? Seems like a $400 fail. Just be patient, the 5100s for the 2019+ should be out early 2020

Mopar 2" Leveling Kit. Stock Laramie Sport wheels with 296/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. PS... The 295/65/20 were too tall.
