I am looking at lift kits for my 2004 dodge ram 1500 2wd 5.7
Currently i have a 3" body lift 2" coil spacers in the front and heavy duty leafs in the rear. The heavy duty leafs jacked my back end up 3 inches higher then the front so i was thinking of doing a 2500 6" lift to achieve the height i want while leveling it out. I have heard of people using stock 2500 springs on their 1500 but has anyone used a 2500 lift kit? Will this work? Do i need anything special in order to make it work? Will a 6" 2500 lift end up being more like 8"(compared to stock) on my 1500? Any help would be appreciated

I haven't seen anyone do this. You should check out the Maxtrac 7" 2wd lift kit. Its actually made for your truck, so it will for sure work.

Thats what i would end up getting if the 2500 lift wont work. I was really trying to replace the coil springs with 2500 springs because mine should really be replaced and with the hauling and offroading(yes i offroad in a 2wd) i do i want the more heavy duty springs
