First off, hello! I'm new to the Ram world, but not Mopar. I added a 2006 1500 with a Hemi to my list of Mopars at home. I have a 2006 Magnum AWD with a 6.1 conversion and many more goodies, as well as a 2013 Durango R/T.

My question is simple, but I cannot seem to find a clear answer. Perhaps you all can help!

With a Silverado 1/2 ton, the 3/4 ton bumpers fit with the exception of needing to simply change the brackets. The bumpers are the same, but placement from the chassis varies.

Is that the same with the Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 in 2006/2007? I have a friend who is willing to give up his OEM painted bumper from his 07 as he replaced it years ago with an Iron Cross. My 06 OEM bumper is bent. My question, and they appear to be identical in all ways, is, am I correct in they are interchangeable?

Thanks anyone and everyone for your assistance! PS, if a write up on this exists, I couldn't find a link....

    Wil

With the exception of 2002 and 2009, all 3rd gen body parts (except the dually of course) are interchangeable. There are a few styling differences, but interchangeable. Yes you can, but if his is a sport bumper (all one color) and yours is the 2 piece chrome and body color then not quite, you'll need the bumper support underneath then it will bolt on.

Thanks so much for the quick feedback. I'm looking forward to making some "my style" improvements to this truck. It looks good thanks to the previous owner, but it's not personalized to me.
