I want to add some after market rims to my 17 2500 4x4. The vehicle has the standard lift. I need to know what size rims and tires I can add without adjusting anything on the suspension. Ive read through here about the offset but not quite clear. I was hoping to put on the Fuel Vapors in a 20x10 size with a 33" tire possibly a 12.5" width. What Offset should I be looking for to not rub anywhere and is that even possible. If not I will go with a 20x9
Let me know and thanks to all in advance

Also, what would be the street tire size that would fit this size rim. Not really needing to go off road.

If you have a stock suspension on the truck you should have around 40 1/2 – 41 inches of height from ground to the center of the front wheel well arch. Guestimating tire/wheel combinations is not easy. There are a lot of factors when you are driving that can cause rub. You can always trim the plastic wheel liner as a lot of people do. If you are going to be exclusively on the street then it won't be as bad.

There are certain specific combinations that you can run on stock suspension that will give you no rub at all. Some others may chime in with suggestions. My AEV wheels had no rub even off road with a 35x12.5 tire on factory suspension with a +27mm offset. They are a 17x8.5 wheel though. The truck has been leveled and there is oodles of room for a 37 in there now.

Most people run a 35x12.50 tire on a 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing/-12mm offset on stock or leveled 4th gen 4x4 2500's.

20x9’s will general give you at max a -12mm offset, so look for that, then I’d say 33-35” tires would be fine

So if I level it I can do a 20 x 10 with an 18 mm offset and 35" tires with no rubbing right

There may be some minor rubbing on some plastic but I doubt it.
