What gears were you running prior?
3.55 which IMO sucked with the 5/6 speed when towing or running bigger and heavier than stock tires.

Not that I'm interested in changing my gears or tire size but what was the overall effect on gas mileage and speedometer error? I realize you got what you wanted as far as grunt affect, what was the down side?

I get about 17 on the highway but keep in mind around here highways are mostly 70 or 75.
If I run smaller roads that are 55 mile mileage is much better but that isn’t realistic for me.

I wish I could have a 2 speed rear end one with the 4.56 and one with 3.55.

Shoot2Kill has been sent away from the forum and his posts were deleted. Some of the posts made by others here that quoted his childish crap were also deleted so if your post count reduced a bit today, blame me.

Of course, I'd never plow with my truck so I'm one up on that twit.

I must have missed something. I thought it was just some fun give and take. Didn't see any vulgarity or hard core insults.

All I ever got from that guy was he was just trying to troll. Never seemed interested in having a real debate or discussion. Just trying to cause arguments and insult people.

Yep... slightly amusing but never helpful to the original poster.

I don't remember if you have a 2 or 4wd but if you've got a 2wd someone used to make an add on 2 speed to put behind you're transmission. Haven't seen it in years so I don't know if still being made or not.

You need to figure out your exact boss plow model. Then search the mount for that exact model and your truck. Based on finding a mount being a hickup for you, I would highly recommend going to a plow shop. Pretty easy to majorly mess stuff up on a botched install. No offense meant. https://www.bossplow.com/en/support/Parts/Index/1

Interesting thread....Sad I missed all the fun posts. I have a 2014 that just finished up it's 5 season of plowing. I have no complaint of mine at all. 8' fisher straight with wings.
Edit, spelling

I have a boss on my 16 2500. You have to take those stupid posts off. BOSS mounts are universal to all but the HTX and 10' plows. You need part number LTA04770D

Pertaining to other posts, my 16 has 4.10 gears and is no comparison to my 11 2500 GMC. This thing is a beast. I'm running a 9'6" in the front and a 16' swing wing out back. When I was searching for my 11 GMC, I was told the 4.10 ratio was special ordered. Apparently alot of people are worried about gas mileage in their HD trucks. Lol.
