Anyone else with the 8.4 Alpine system have issues with your radio stopping for a bit when you first start your truck? I don't know if it does it when playing the radio or not because I never listen to the radio. It happens when playing music via a USB stick, or SD Card. I'll start the truck and it'll play for a bit, then freeze for a few seconds, then start again. Sometimes it does it more than once. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine does something similar where it fades the volume to zero and back at the beginning of a new song. The fade is quick, maybe 5 seconds, and it happens intermittently.

It only happens when using my iPhone as the source. Never on FM or XM.

Source is my iPhone 7+ controlled by the stock head unit. I use the USB for connection.

No, I ripped my entire (300+) CD collection to Apple Lossless. I didn't spend a ****load of money on my stereo to listen to crappy streamed music. :roflsquared:

Check if it has a silence between songs in the app, Spotify has a setting you can set the silence between each song or make the songs overlap

This only started recently. It’s been perfect for two years before now.

I have too many devices in the signal chain right now that all had software/firmware updates right before the issue began. I can’t be sure which one is causing it. That’s why I was kind of happy when someone else had a similar issue.
