What soft ware upgrade dose the dealer do? I have not rrecived any notices from the dealer on this issue? The 2*1 bump is normal for the z8 is what they told me.
Nor happens in stop and go traffic. Also the book has no miilage to change your fluid ? It’s life time for the transmission, which is hard to believe .

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn QC with the 8HP70 and 3.92 axle ratio. The first 20,000 miles or so the transmission shifted so smoothly one could not detect it. Over time a slight 'bump' would be felt coming to a stop. Sometimes this seemed timed to the 2-1 downshift, at other times I could feel it while completely stopped and the brake applied. This went away for a while, then came back this past summer more severe. Then this progressed to a bump being felt when accelerating from a stop. Dealer told me they are working on a software fix, but oddly since the winter temps have arrived it has completely disappeared! I am now suspicious that this is being caused by the rear driveshaft slip splines sticking. I also have the 32 gallon fuel tank and get a little bump out of that when partially filled. By the way, if the fluid level drops beyond a certain point on a ZF, you will see a message in the message screen.

Regards,
Dusty

I would check fluid level.
Transmission temperature must be between 96 and 120 degrees.
Should be a slow dribble out of the hole when the level plug is removed.
All zf autos are notoriously sensitive to fluid level.
