The ratio is definitely closer strapping on 37's. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't average 80lbs20180621_062526.jpg

Whew, I've got an 8spd w/ 3.92 gears and 37x13.5 rubbers. I can break the tires no problem and can even chirp getting into second... I can't imagine throwing 4.56 gears in lol.

I can get the tires to break loose but I just can't seem to satisfy my performance addiction.

I've owned turbo cars but never an S/C vehicle.

I planned to go H/C but who knows what will happen when 100k

Amen brother! I myself am contemplating 37's but these 35s and the 4.56s are sexy together.

I don't get it... You referring to a racing emulator?

Edit: I got it now... You were saying popping wheelies would be next. But instead you got me thinking about a racing emulator as part of my garage reno.... Dammit Jay

Although i cant spin my 37’s with my 5 speed tranny and 3:92 gears, it drives and passes fine for having 37’s. I cant imagine 4:56o_O

So I've been reading back on the 4x4 swaps since I haven't been paying too close attention because I never thought I'd do this lol. Sounds like for a 4x4, it's around $3K? That's a much easier number for me to hit than always finding stuff to blow my Whipple fund on before I hit $7-8K lol

I think maybe Wild One can give you all the ins and out of doing the gear change for a late model 4th Gen. 4x4. I think he is the one that has done it---several times.

The chart that Socal posted confirmed my opinion that 4.10s are perfect for my truck.

I guarantee if I had a new 2WD Ram on 37s, I'd be rocking 4.56s.

It's such a shame that Ram made it so dam difficult to change gears on the 4WDs.

2006-2011 front differential is what you need for 4.10 or 4.56 gear in a 2012-2017 Ram 1500.
Just did this 2 weeks ago.

MPG actually increased from 15.5 to 17 with 4.56 gears vrs 3.55 if driving 65 mph or less.
But then I have the 6-speed with 35-inch tires & 4-inch lift that was constantly downshifting.
