Ok guys it's been almost a year since I've been on here. New family and the farm have kept me busy. So now that I have some free time and the means to do so, I'm finally able to build my truck up a little. So here's what I have to work with. I have 99 1500 Laramie SLT 4x4 with 5.9. Regular cab short bed and a low 93,000 miles. I have a 01 Sport ORE 4x4 with a 5.9. Extended cab short bed with a modest 170,000 miles.(this is my parts truck as we have been through alot and the transmission is blown.) Here's where I need help. I'm mechanically inclined enough to tear things apart and put them back together. My question is, can I swap the suspensions and axles with a direct fit? All steering components also, because I rebuilt the front end of the 01 about a year ago. Thanks for any input.

Don't see why you couldn't swap front ends

I was hoping to swap just about everything mechanical except for motor, tranny, and transfer case. My 99 has the 3.55 gearing and my 01 has the 4.10 gearing.
