A/c help please

Started messing with my ac today and it only blows on the floor and the defrost vents, no matter where I have the dial turned. I also don't have heat anymore, but no wet spots or antifreeze smell.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

I think the ac is just the switch but not sure. Cause it still blows on low, med, & high but just won't change vent location

I know on third gens you have to remove the whole dash, disconnect ac and heater hoses and remove the hvac unit to replace the doors. I believe the 2nd gens are the same procedure pretty much

I would google or bing "Dodge Ram Wild Vents" and you'll get a boatload of hits to try. It can be anything from loose or cracked vacum hoses, check valves, blend door motor or a combination.

Okie said it. But on the 97 year its all vacuum and cables. You can pull part of the dash to get to the hvac box if you choose.

This is a website that specializes in the malfunction of the blend door. Usually the door either cracks, the hinges break, or they lose their seal, but this kit allows you to fix it in your own garage, instead of taking the entire dash apart to get to the HVAC system, or taking it to a shop to do it.
