Over the year I started adding more and more electrical items to my truck so I decided to add the AEV 6 position switch pod part number 30601000AA to the dash. I designed a schematic, ran it by @IRSmart a few times to check my plan and started ordering the parts.

The power distribution box is made by littlefuse HWB60 and worked well. I ran the trigger wires inside the fender like the other oem wires are.

The switches are from OTRATTW (Over The River and Thru The Woods)

https://otrattw.net/LOWER-INDEPENDENT-LIGHT-UPPER-DEPENDENT-LIGHT-SWITCH-ONLY/

The rockers are Contura XIV, they have a good feel to them and have a "separation" molded in to distinguish upper or lower.

I used @kad method of entering the cab via a rubber boot.

I routed the wire bundle behind the head unit and up thru the top of the center stack. I then added the mating connector to allow easy removal of the switch pod.

Dude that looks amazing. I’m typing this literally as I sit at the table putting the final touches on my own wiring harness for the switches. I have a few switches that turn the same circuits on so I had to solder in a few diodes which can be a pain but worth it for a clean install. You and I actually borrowed a few ideas off each other because while I gave you the jumper idea and okayed the wiring, I stole the grommet and fuse box idea from you lol. And I came to the same conclusion you did that a quick disconnect was mandatory for this amount of wiring going through the dash. And I even picked the same switch line from OTRATTW as well. I always liked the dual face of the Contura XIV. I am taking the truck off road on Saturday so I hope to have my install done by then because one of my switches is for my CB. great job, now show what they control!

I've been waiting for this writeup for awhile. That turned out nice, great work. Time to get the list together and start ordering. Thanks for the writeup!

Thanks guys, ya it rained here every weekend for 10 weeks so it slowed my progress

Unfortunately I ran out of time to install them, they are sitting on the work bench.

Thanks, making the harness and all these connections was time consuming. I had to buy a special crimping tool. I also put a connector at the back of each switch so that too can easily be unplugged. I changed my mind and didn’t tap into anything in the dash, I brought everything in from under the hood in one bundle. I read one post of yours stating how some of yours would be controlled multiple ways, that’s advanced. I look forward to seeing yours.

I don't have any accessory lights just yet, but if I did, I'd want to duplicate your switch setup, for sure!
