aftermarket options for engine bay light?

Are there any aftermarket options for a light in the engine bay? My stock light is broken and dealer wants $31 for new one.

i dont have one, i believe i read somewhere that it was some kind of an option maybe?

i think every truck has the wiring for it but just not the light

my 2000 has a light under the hood is a bit squirrely tho most of the time i have to bang on the hood to get it turned on but its also kinda nice cause i can just hit the hood and it gose out

I'll tell ya the best under hood light I have found was at tractor supply. Its a magnet with a clip and about 20 leds. It was like 6 bucks. It is attached by the magnet to my firewall. I can put it anywhere i need light

This looks like a great idea. how did you wire it? the light I have that's broken has some sort of mercury switch or something so it only comes on when the hood is up. there is no toggle or anything to turn it on.

I have a 6000k Rigid Loop Festoon bulb with 9 SMD LEDs in mine. Had it in my '02 as well.

Underhood light is part of a certain option package. On 4th gens it adds glove box light too. Every truck has the wiring but it's hidden by the black thing on the hood
