Alignment required with new UCA install?

Thinking about installing a set of Mevo UCAs after having my 5100s installed. Just wondering if this requires an alignment? The 5100s are being installed Monday then an alignment, if UCA replacement requires another alignment I'll hold off until the lift goes on and hope the OEMs hold up.

It's a good idea to have an alignment check done anytime that you do a front end suspension upgrade.

Probably not needed , but not a bad idea for sure .

Your OEM should do fine , unless you plan on some rough offroading.

If the 5100's add a slight lift, then yes an alignment for sure. Also the aftermarket control arms probably are not exactly the same length as oem.

Put a mark on the upper or lower adjustment bolts and frame before you loosen them. this way your alignment will be close enough to drive. I did this on my 07 when I replaced all four arms and struts, and the alignment tech told mi the alignment was very close.

the upper arms are not adjustable like the 3rd gens. lowers are adjustable. you should be able to replace the upper control arms without needing an alignment. however, as someone stated if the aftermarket arms are not 100% the same dimensions as the OEM arms, the alignment could be thrown off slightly. its a good idea to at least have it checked after doing the arms.

I had mine checked and sure enough it required alignment after mevo install, so yeah, I'd recommend it.

Maybe your truck needed an alignment ( already misaligned) prior to the Mevotech's UCA install? Isn't the Mevotech's uca an oem replacement?

When I started it had 15k miles and no signs of needing an alignment, and when I drove it to the shop pre-install i could tell it was off. BUT!!!! When I posted, I failed to consider I also did bils @2.8 so that is probably what really changed it. I had a brain fart when I posted I guess..... (Or maybe it was the scotch?? Who knows!)
